VillaChris
I find Lennon a massive word removed even if he seems to be o.k doing tv punditry. Would hate it if he was our new manager.

Voinjama
what is it with you lot loving Scottish managers. lennon - celtic. scot prem is mickey mouse league with only 1 strong team. lennon has proved shit playing against part timers every week. To be fair Lennon isn't Scottish. He is Northern Irish though, and we all know how the last Northern Irish ex-Celtic manager at Villa worked out... Worked out quite well from what I remember. CarewsEyebrowDesigner
I think Lennon will do well in his career but I'd rather not take that risk. We need experience.

Voinjama
Yes really. I was quite happy with his 4 year tenure at the club, even if he did over pay for certain players.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Really? There seems to be a lot of bitter revisionism of O'Neill's reign. Numerous top 6 finishes, exciting players, and actually looking forward to match day suggest he did alright.

Numerous top 6 finishes, exciting players, and actually looking forward to match day suggest he did alright. How is pointing out the facts revisionism? It was all built on sand and the club suffered as soon as Lerner decided he couldn't afford to bankroll O'Neill's overpriced mediocre British buys. Voinjama
As a fan whether it be armchair or avid, you shouldn't worry/care about the cost of transfer fees and wages. Let the accountants and chairman etc deal with that. Just look at things from the football side of view and under MON there were 3 top 6 finishes and a 3 good cup runs.
Mantis
Football fans have short memories. Recognising that the "achievements" under O'Neill were unsustainable and pointing out that he wasted a very large amount of money isn't having a short memory. As a fan whether it be armchair or avid, you shouldn't worry/care about the cost of transfer fees and wages. Let the accountants and chairman etc deal with that. Just look at things from the football side of view and under MON there were 3 top 6 finishes and a 3 good cup runs. That's ridiculous - the game is all about money nowadays.
