Nigel Posted January 22, 2014 VT Supporter Posted January 22, 2014 Not in the season no. I think they will give him next year and see if he makes any real progress.
jimbojames Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Not this season although would be surprised to see a mutual agreement in the summer. Either that or he needs to get some help in tactically.
coda Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 He's on a six-year contract and as hilarious as this season has been he shouldn't be sacked. Taggart picked him.
dakid007 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Hope he never leaves heard Man U fans say they don't really support em no more might aswell support city as it's the same anyway
VillaChris Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 No. You don't sign Mata and sack Moyes the next day. If they're still this bad this time next season (which I find hard to believe) then yes.
Rovers13 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Missing out on the UCL won't be disastrous because they make so much money. However, the glazers better start to spend at some point.
Czechlad Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I think he will be at united for a while. It will take time, but he will turn it around. Needs to get more quality players in.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I think they've accepted that there will be a transitional period, so he's safe IMO.
AshVilla Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 His press conference tonight "Sunderland deserved to win" Just what their fans want to hear after a drubbing at home he's doing his job superbly well
maqroll Posted January 23, 2014 Author Posted January 23, 2014 I think they've accepted that there will be a transitional period, so he's safe IMO. If the Glazers perceive that keeping Moyes on and suffering more embarrassment begins to tarnish the Manchester United "brand", then I think they will cut him loose and cut their losses. Isn't Ferguson tight with Marcello Lippi? Is Lippi still in management?
AVFCforever1991 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I really hope he stays, because he's way out of his depth.
Stevo985 Posted January 23, 2014 VT Supporter Posted January 23, 2014 Nope, I think he'll be fine in the long run.
LondonLax Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) He will get a full season at the least. He will also get Man United playing better than they currently are and compteting for the top spots. I don't think they will ever be the force they were under Ferguson though. I think at their best under him they will be more like Arsenal, starting off the season in the title race before ultimately finishing 3rd or 4th. Edited January 23, 2014 by LondonLax
sharkyvilla Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 If they wanted instant success then they should have got Mourinho and given him huge money to spend. I think Fergie deliberately chose him because he can build something more long term. Lets face it he wasn't given the greatest squad to work with, how Fergie won the league with this lot is miraculous. Doesn't stop it being hilarious and I love talking to Utd fans who have given up having denied for years they are glory hunters.
Shillzz Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I think he'd have been sacked by now at any other top club. People constantly citing that Ferguson was given time, which is true, but that was in a completely different era of football. Loyalty etc went out of the window a long time ago. He deserves to be sacked in my opinion. 1
PauloBarnesi Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 His press conference tonight "Sunderland deserved to win" Just what their fans want to hear after a drubbing at home he's doing his job superbly well They won a game at home and lost a penalty shoot out. Only Man U fans would call that a drubbing 1
Wainy316 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Probably not up to the task in the long run but he was left in the shit to begin with. Fergie knew exactly when to get out.
AVFCforever1991 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Probably not up to the task in the long run but he was left in the shit to begin with. Fergie knew exactly when to get out. Spending 28m on Fellaini didn't help...
