Great signing and I couldn't give a toss about the buyback clause.

It doesn't really suggest anything at all. It's preseason. As for this signing I know nothing about him but it sure is exciting to be snapping up young, hungry players from abroad for relatively small fees. We have a manager that can coach players and plays decent football. It is as exciting a time to be a villa fans as I can remember.

They are also knowledgeable, they know the game. As oppose to the rest of us stevie wonders who think we are watching croquet every week. Probably hasn't been mentioned but they love a number 9. So much that in McDonalds in Newcastle you can only get 9 chicken nuggets as opposed to the usual 6. How much this contributes to the obesity crisis in Newcastle is, as yet, unknown.

Well he's set for life now. Even if he never kicks a ball again he's going to earn a minimum of £25m over the next 5 years or ~£12.5m after tax.

I wouldn't be surprised if he actually cost ~£20m + add-on's but Ashley released £40m as the fee to try to make it seem like he is spending money on the team.

Doesn't he have 3 years left on his £600K a week deal in Madrid? His family are settled there, weather is nice and lots of golf course for him to play so if I was him I'd want a £400K per week increase to move to some dump in China away from my family.

By miles. It should be pinot's to win now but you never know how the bodies will react in the third week. I just hope it's close going into Saturday. It would be nice to have a french winner but I wouldn't mind seeing Kruijswjk win.

Its intentionally like that. The design would have been approved by multiple people so it's not an error. Although it does look like one.

Not a fan of either kit so far. The rumoured third kit has promise though.
