I'd go with Jedinak behind Bacuna and Tish Sunday for some energy. Im glad he's not defended the players after last night. One of the worst performances served up in a period of utter dross from a series of players and managers.

I wonder if he's one of the 'so called talents' Bruce referred to? Utter tripe last night. Drop him for Sunday.

Sitting pretty with Villa in my first season, 8 points clear at the end of January. Shipped out Cissokho and Bacuna in January to clear some deadwood, agreed to sign Garbutt on loan for left back cover, got him in only to find he's ineligible as he's played for too many clubs. On loan at Wigan but hasn't had a kick anywhere else! Then boom, Amavi out for the season with a spine injury! Damn you! So had to sack off Garbutt and bring in another lb on loan quick sharp! Also signed Rob Holding and Lewis Cook on loan to bolster my squad for the final push, and Mason Holgate as loan cover too. Goals seem to be spread across my team rather than anyone smashing it. Ince leads with 13, then Ayew, Kodjia, Adomah and McCormack all got between 7-9 each. Really enjoying this save so far!

I've avoided VT until now after yesterday's result. Now I see why. We lost 1 game. The teams that occupy 3-6 currently aren't anything special and will drop plenty of points. The way Bruce has us getting results, we will be in top 6 come the end of the season, and most likely by January. Keep the faith. We don't need the fan base turning after 1 result. Hopefully the result will be a boot up the arse that they're not going to stroll each game.

I didn't spot Poyet until it was too late! The scouting knowledge is atrocious so making it harder to find players for me. Im scouting a fair amount of players in anticipation of promotion. I haven't shipped many out, only Hutton and Kozak, will look to move on a few in January who aren't getting a kick.

I've made a solid start to my Villa save. Sat 3rd in the league after just beating Forest at home 3-2, after being 3-0 up at half time. Only lost once so far, to Sheff W on the opening day. I've bought in Tom Ince, who's got 3 goals and 2 assists already, and a centre midfielder, Gregor Breinburg, from NEC who's bossing it with 90% pass completion next to Jedinak. Ive rebuilt and filled the back room, adding Scholes and Lindeman, plus a load of youth coaches and sorts scientists, now rated best in the league across most staff areas. The promotion push is on. Kodjia, Ayew and Ince have clicked as a trio for me with McCormack as a shadow striker behind. With Adomah, Grealish and Green as competition.

Why didn't Kodjia take the pen?! Another cracking result, 7 unbeaten. Great stuff from Bruce. Beat Leeds next week and we will be knocking right on the door for the top 6.

I've taken the plunge today with this. More of a casual player and never really got into the last couple of additions, and now have a wife and 9 month old to also contend with. The challenge of Villa really appealed to me on this, however Had a look through the squad, and need to add a couple of centre mids (obvs). Disappointed with the stats on Amavi and Tshibola. Ayew and Kodjia with RMC behind looks like it'll do damage. Anybody have any first season recommendations for me for players to sign?

Great outlet for us last night. Quick, fit and has quality on the ball. Pressed all night long against Brighton, looking forward to him adding a few goals.

I thought he did very well last night. Kept Knockeart very quiet, which isn't easy. Getting better by the game. Bruce seems to have his full backs not getting forward as much, Amavi was great at overlapping at crossing from the byline last season, but not seen much attacking intent from him or Hutton IMO.

A huge positive is the fact our goal difference is equal to the teams already in the play off positions. So as we win games and close the gap, the goal difference will hopefully become greater than the teams were challenging. I believe Huddersfield and Reading will fall away, as will Bristol City. Leeds look good, and Monk has them playing well. Bruce has given us a knack of winning games, which is invaluable. 11 points from 15 is fantastic, and I can see us being in and around the top 6 by Christmas. We have huge games against Norwich and Brighton yet to play, with Leeds in to play twice around December and January. The hunt is most definitely on. P.S we have Brighton at home last day of the season. Imagine if it's a one off game for 2nd place.

I think this is one of the benefits of having an owner on Twitter. Little snippets and updates like this. Since the season has started he has piped down somewhat, which is what a lot were worried about. As for the redevelopment, the North Stand is long overdue. It should incorporate some sort of museum and club shop. Fill the corners and get the capacity up for our inevitable rise to the top!
