  1. He's already on loan at Boro for the season isn't he?
  2. It'll be interesting to see if he plays for Barnsley this weekend. If he does, it can't be as far along as some of the media are suggesting.
  3. Hopefully positive for us progressing this deal as Fawaz will want the cash. Feel for Forest fans though, we can relate to being poorly ran and being nearly taken over!
  4. I'd rather Leeds win tonight than Derby. Leeds will finish above us. We are battling Derby and others for 6th.
  5. The article is from Graeme Bailey who had a scoop on a transfer with us in the summer iirc.
  6. On the note of Downing, I'd have him back in a heart beat. Quite underrated I always thought, and he has a sweet left foot, his set pieces and delivery would be handy coming in from the left.
  7. It would take someone seriously idiotic to post themselves inhaling 'hippy crack' on their own SnapChat considering the whole debacle around Sterling and Grealish. Even if he is just blowing up a balloon it's still ridiculous, I imagine it was a video with more content than what that still picture can provide.
  8. 'It's'. Now be careful or you'll be joining him
  9. The most pointless loan signing of all time! With Simon 'Lights still on' Dawkins a close second.
  10. I bet he's licking his lips and stroking his beard at the prospect of playing alongside actual midfielders again!
  11. Davis has grafted at a lower level and earnt his move to Villa, if RHM isn't prepared to commit it stinks of a poor attitude and probably poor advice. I'd be intrigued to see who he shares an agent with.
  12. Signed a new deal at Utd in October so doubt it includes an option to buy ...
  13. Just had a look and Ed Aarons is a deputy new editor for the Guardian with nearly 17000 followers, so seems legitimate. Fingers crossed.
  14. Zaha got clearance to play tonight for Palace. Bizarre from Ivory Coast.
  15. I like the fact we're making early moves in the market, they've prepared and seem to have a good idea of what we need to kick on. It's nice having faith in the people running the club for a change. I imagine Johnstone is done, still looking at Jenkinson, one of the purchases may hopefully be Hourihane; and other than that, who knows?! I can't wait to see how the squad looks come Brentford away on 31st (assuming the window closes on 31st).
  16. Hopefully they allow him to play, he gets 'injured' in the 89th minute, not fit enough for AFCON, misses Spurs away, then is fit for next league fixture.
  17. Not set in stone he's going to miss Cardiff by the sound of it.
  18. I was sat in the Trinity Road and was focused on Kodjia bundling through, that I didn't notice how well positioned McCormack was! I saw RMc gesturing afterwards in frustration and this depicts exactly why. Sums up Kodjia perfectly, definitely has tunnel vision. RMc is constantly available, always in space and making the right decisions 95% of the time, he's being let down by his strike partners currently. He'd be close to double figures if he'd been laid in a couple of times.
  19. I was also bemused, but felt he may have been trying to keep them fresher over the Christmas period.
  20. Finished my first season with Villa, winning the league with 103 points, 10 clear of Newcastle in 2nd. Done a load of business once promotion was secured as Dr Tony pumped in £25m into the transfer kitty. Brought in Emiliano Martinez on a free as back up to Gollini. Rick Karsdorp rb from Feyenoord, Caulker and Rob Holding as cb quality and competition. Charlie Taylor on a free for lb compition with Amavi. Got in Donny van de Beek young cm from Ajax to develop, and Alireza from AZ for rw. Managed to bring in Dolberg for £9m too. I think my spend is about £45m, but structured deals smartly. Still in the market for a cm and goalscorer, told players we're aiming for mid table and they reacted well. Going to be a tough season I think!
