  1. I like the use of the word finalising attacking options in the Bristol City presser from RDM. Hopefully we're close, unless Xia listening to fans has kiboshed that.
  2. He speaks really well in that, and very highly of the hierarchy and the ambition. I hope his Achilles are ok and hold up. Struggled with both preseason before we signed him and only trained a couple of days before the Sheff W game. Hes only going to get better and better this season IMO. Keep him central where he wants to be.
  3. I feel like I need a tweet from Tony tonight, I feel a little empty without an update on transfers tonight.
  4. I hadn't considered it, but the signing of a right back would free up Bacuna as a midfield option again, although another midfielder would be ideal, i hadn't really factored Bacuna into that. Clean slate for me, he's done ok so far this season.
  5. Tony knows. RDM seems to have a view on the squad and its needs that's been lacking at Villa for as long as I've known!
  6. From Gregg Evans, says Yedlin more likely than de Laet as we couldn't agree a fee for him. Yedlin at rb is an exciting prospect for me.
  7. Newcastle Chronicle reporter thinks Bas Dost to them is a goer. Not sure if we are in for him, but there'll be competition.
  8. I was sceptical at the beginning and in all honesty wanted Moyes, but the team RDM has built around him looks to rock solid, and experienced, whilst creating a great atmosphere around the club. He has, so far, nailed the transfer market and the rebuild job, i don't think we could have asked for much more at this stage. Looking at Moyes at Sunderland and Pearson at Derby i can't help but feel we dodged a bullet. Moyes looks a busted flush and his signings are very questionable, in a market where £20m seems to be the norm for a player, he has bought poorly IMO. Getting to know RDM more from a fan point of view, you can see why Dr Tony went for him, he's a progressive manager, who seems to be well thought and planned in his approach. It's nice to have a team from top to bottom who seem to know what they're doing. On the pitch, so far, he has had us dominate the majority of each game (barring Luton), and added leaders where we needed them most. He and Dr Tony have certainly brought the buzz back for me. Edit - Also he has massive go-nads and a no-nonsense approach to unwanted players or players that don't want to be here.
  9. Indeed he is a very good signing, i was referring more to timescales with the 'mapped out' comment. Like i said i don't doubt the ambition and the will to do the business, but there are a lot of factors in bringing in a world class striker out of our control. McCormack is a top class forward for where we are, and another of that ilk or better and we will be laughing.
  10. Last time Dr Tony made a bold transfer prediction for the exciting midfielder, it didn't quite map out as planned. I'm not holding it against him, but I'm cautious regarding a world class striker. Until they're pictured with Dr Tony i'll wait for the excitement. Not doubting their intentions, i hope they can get it done, along with a couple of others.
  11. To be fair, Dr Tony does say AT LEAST 2. Theyll keep pushing right up to the deadline. I'd imagine we end up with more than 2 more.
  12. Solid, reliable and dependable. Goes unnoticed as he does the simple things right. A luxury we haven't had at centre back for a while. I like the look of Chester and Elphick, both committed and full blooded, bursting with passion. Add Jedinak in front of them and it looks even better.
  13. I'd have much preferred seeing Gabby coming off the bench today than Kozak. Failing that, Green for Gestede and push Ayew up top as they did late on. A real shame for him, but can't see him being anything like he was before.
  14. Hopefully the form of Kozak today and Gestede picking up that injury will force them to push through the striker deal. I think the team against Bristol next week will be quite different to today, with Jedinak, Tish and hopefully Morrison and a striker in.
  15. Game day... Again! They come thick and fast don't they, which is great as a fan! I'm predicting a narrow win here. 1-0/2-1 to us, with another good solid performance. McScoremack amongst the goals again.
  16. Not available tomorrow according to the Bham Mail. VISA delayed. Buggar.
  17. I agree he was one of Hull's best players last year, but he's done his knee ligaments and part of the reason Hull only have 13 players.
  18. Where's the customary holding up the shirt pics?! Welcome Mile, i have a feeling you'll turn out to be a superb signing. Credit to RDM for bringing in another leader and warrior. UTV!
  19. I've tweeted Dr Tony this idea. Let's see if he goes for it!
  20. Strangely looks to have lost his place on the bench as Baker is back fit. So it's Baker, Hutton and Richards on the bench. I know who i'd discard to make room for Adama...
  21. The article is just the quotes from Lyden on Jedinak... Although the headline might be a hidden message.
