  1. Great work by the Doc so far, delighted with the transfer window activity. He has certainly done his bit, now time for us and the players to do ours.
  2. Really pleased with this. He's been there and done it, and looking at his stats he's consistent and always fit. I wonder which shirt number he'll take.
  3. Had a little wager with a friend. He doesn't think he will get 15 league goals, so I've backed him to do it. No pressure Kodjia.
  4. I wonder if it's loan or permanent? Hopefully a loan, so we could benefit further if he does well, by either selling or retaining him. Disappointed it never worked out for him here, was such an exciting signing at the time.
  5. My Mrs hates me right now because of Villa and the transfer window... but it's fine with me as long as Tony keeps on delivering, i might invite him round on twitter actually, and see if he can deliver!
  6. Richard called it! I'm quite pleased as saw Boro a fair bit last year as i have a good friend who's a smoggy, and he's gutted he's potentially leaving. Very quick and direct, some moments of magic, and some moments of frustration, but saw him rinse many full backs.
  7. That's a bit tall isn't it. Anyone know how mobile he is?
  8. The guy who tweeted that has himself in his bio as a young journalist for RC Lens, so may have legs in it.
  9. I would hope we have another defender lined up if that is the case. I wonder if Steve Clarke could be registered as a player?
  10. Nothing from the Doc on Adomah, which is interesting. I hope you're right Richard. Love a good deadline day with something to keep an eye on. Is the capital Will for Wilshere? Ambitious speculation on my part.
  11. Joe Hart to Torino is a strange one. Not saying is expect us to sign him, but with his relationship with our GK coach we'd have a sniff if he wanted to stay in England and was willing to drop a league to play.
  12. My best mate is a West Ham fan, he was pleased to get knocked out of Europe. He highlighted that it distracts away from the league, to which I mentioned, isn't the point of the league to qualify for Europe? His response... 'Yeah... The Champions League.' Poor deluded sod, just like the rest of them. I told him they're worse off than last year. (I might add he's an accidental West Ham fan, after he wanted a scarf to match his big brothers Villa scarf when they were kids, his mum bought a West Ham one, and the rest is history)
  13. I think we're in for an exciting climax whatever happens. They're still pushing for deals, and there's bound to be a few loan opportunities crop up on deadline day. I think we will land 3 or 4 more including loans.
  14. Only just seen the 'save' that was parried to the striker, for me that is worse than the kicking errors by far. Disappointing.
  15. Assombalonga would be a cracking signing. Looking at his Twitter he's massively pissed at Burke being sold. Could be an opportunity to swoop in.
  16. Jeez it didn't take long for the positivity to get sucked out did it?! Just had a quick look a some Boro results from last season for comparison. In March they lost to Rotherham, Charlton and Blackburn. It's a long old season. When we play well, so far for the first 45 of most games, we batter teams. A bit more clinical finishing and it's a different story. I maintain we will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season, and in the playoffs at least.
  17. Not overly fussed on Hernandez. As long as they have another lined up who's similar in style, then that's perfectly fine. I'm all for the openness of Xia as long as he keeps it in the laws of the game, which he seems to do, just about.
  18. Looks like Hernandez and Valencia are no goes then. Wonder who the other option is. If we get back up it seems the Doc will back us!
  19. Winning their 3rd game in a row now. Seem to be buying decent players now too. Looking good.
  20. Newcastle bringing in Daryl Murphy and Lazaar today. Good business.
  21. Albert Adomah is the winger/am apparently, according to this.
  22. Yeah he is into his last year, and as you say won't be playing much. For me it's a massive shame, as he came with so much promise, but the knee injury rocked him, and by reports his return was handled poorly. He's still young enough to go away and rebuild himself, and come back stronger, if he can.
  23. I see it as 2 permanently and the loan market as a whole is unpredictable. So could be 2 permanent and a few loans.
  24. I like the use of the word finalising attacking options in the Bristol City presser from RDM. Hopefully we're close, unless Xia listening to fans has kiboshed that.
