  1. Jedinak is all done, just awaiting work permit according to all reports now. Diawara is a long shot, but never say never. I agree that this N'Doye chap may well be more realistic.
  2. I decided to treat myself to a chicken balti pie on Saturday, i originally went for the pulled pork dog, only to find, to my disappointment, they had no pulled pork. I wanted something new and exciting to get me into the season, and i thought the new the was a suitable replacement to fill that void. The pastry was much thicker, and the pie, overall, was much smaller than i am accustomed to. It was served to me in a cardboard tray as opposed to the foil tin one would expect. The filling itself was less balti-like and more tomatoey than previous editions. I was left a little dissatisfied and craving something more, maybe chips and curry sauce, but i managed to refrain. If i were to score the pie, i'd give it 6/10. Distinctly average...
  3. Grealish also lining up the next recipient for the Gestede magic stick.
  4. I always envisage a TD to have a high level overview of the running of the club, and the ability to oversee all elements from recruitment, staff and players, and an ethos from kids through to the first team. Steve Round is well respected coach, but i can't see how the jump from assistant manager to TD is a natural one. I am more than happy to be wrong, and will support any appointment until given reason not to. It does seem a strange one on paper.
  5. I think it's a lot to do with recruitment judging by the Brum Mail article from Gregg Evans.
  6. McCormack, Ayew, Gestede and Bamford as striking options is the Championship version of the Galacticos from back in the day... Sort of. Would be immense to have that type of depth and proven quality at this level.
  7. Completely underwhelming. Jobs for the lads from Wyness potentially. What possible credentials does a former assistant manager have to become a Technical Director?
  8. I had to take a moment to stop and admire the magnificent beard whilst reading the links to him. I feel a Mile Jedinak Beard Appreciation thread is required. On to playing matters, I believe he'll be a cracking addition even if for the next 2 seasons. A true pro who'll add grit and leadership in the middle of the park. You know exactly what you're getting with MJ (that's Jedinak, not Jackson...). Shamone.
  9. I thought that. I expected him to take a shot on a couple of times and he layed in a teammate. No doubt he will score and set up his fair share throughout the season.
  10. He had some great touches today and worked hard. His play in the build up to the second goal (I think) was superb, really drove us forward. Another point I noticed was his presence, and his ability to win aerial duels in the middle of the park. When was the last time we had this?!
  11. He was class today. So so dangerous coming in from the left. Should have had another. Needs more conviction in front of goal but he'll get plenty of chances this season. Delighted for him today. Deserved it after a good performance.
  12. I thought he looked very good alongside Elphick. He played to the left of Elphick, although rarely challenged, they were both assured. Very positive debut. A massive step up from the chuckle brothers from Wednesday night.
  13. Unbelievable today. Vital leader. He's two for two in splitting people's heads open.
  14. Thoroughly enjoyed both elements! Hopefully he can keep it up throughout the season. Buzzing.
  15. Adama is warming up right in front of me as I write this. If he always warms up like this, no wonder he's always getting injured.
  16. Hopefully we see him in the match day squad today. If not it seems Green has moved ahead of him in the pecking order. Seeing clips of him powering and ghosting past players makes me want to see him involved with us again.
  17. Welcome! He's a very good, solid signing for me. I'd chuck him straight in tomorrow.
  18. Excellent. Been a while in the making this one. I hope that it's another sign of intent, just to get more of the naysayers on board.
  19. He made Craig look like Pirlo the way he 'played' last night. Very underwhelming.
  20. I am by no means obsessed with the Tesco Bags but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy to know they're pissed off at this. Cheers Tone (that's Xia and Pulis).
  21. If 7m is correct that's a great deal considering they signed him for 8m and he played a blinder in the Euros. Also, the most pleasing thing for me is the fact that they've witnessed last nights shenanigans and accelerated deals. Maybe RDM had it planned all along
  22. Well we asked for money to be spent. In today's market they were never going to sell at a loss. Hes an improvement on Richards and Okore, and most likely Baker so I'm all for it. If he makes us more solid and have a clue on how to defend then it's a no brainer.
  23. Tonight compounded how bereft of confidence and quality we are. Elphick did a phenomenal job Sunday, he's going to be massive for us this season. He can't do it all on his own, need more of his type of character in midfield and in defence. I can't blame Morrison for having second thoughts as the tripe served up tonight could have been last season, as it was identical.
  24. #FreeAdama disappointed he's not involved tonight. Not quite ready yet I guess. Other than that pleased with the team. Delighted to see Amavi back in the 11.
  25. Must have read the piss takes about his suits... Looking sharp.
