I hate wearing hats, but as a balding man needs must at times. When very sunny a truckers cap to stop the bonce burning and winter a beanie (not one of the large overhang ones) to stop the bonce freezing. Fashion trend do make me chuckle though. Being a teenager in mid/late nineties baseball caps were worn, if you had a flat peak you were ridiculed immensely. The first thing you'd do when purchasing one was to round the peak. Now it seems the flatter the better is cool.

As raw attributes go Collymore had everything. Pace, power, skill, technique. He could have had a fantastic career. When at forest he was on fire scoring a lot of goals, not just tap ins but some absolute screamers. He moved to a Liverpool for a high fee at the time and initially started well making a great partnership with fowler. But his demons started to affect him and eventually was sold to us (again for a reasonably high fee). As a fan it seemed a fantastic move, a player coming to his boyhood club, we all thought he would be able to put his demons behind him and play to his full potential. Unfortunately, his demons got worse at us and he was unable to perform to a high level. Gregory didn't help the matter and badly mismanaged him. When he left is, he slagged off the management and this was portrayed badly in the club. Which is probably one reason (along with the women beating) why he is seen in a bad light.

Wilshere had had a sustained period out injured (just like Delph had). He isn't as good as the press say, but when regained complete match fitness and confidence he will be a far better player than Delph.

Didn't see today's game but heard Curtis Davies had a good game. Always thought there was a good player in there. Yes we overpaid for him, but the contract situation and him playing with the shoulder injury really ruined his tenure here. I for one wish he is able to fulfil the potential he had.

Does he, does he really ? We have no away games until November, so we can look at pretty much a years worth of away results going back to last October. Played 18, Won 7,Drawn 6, and Lost 5 - the 5 we lost were to last seasons Top 4, Man U, Chelsea - twice , Man City, and Arsenal. 27 Points. Our goal difference against all but the Top 4 .....+8. Why would you think 'it just isn't working' against the 'lesser' teams ? A very good set of stats if you ask me and with better home results easily Top 10. Can I ask why you have done away games? The previous poster said when teams restrict the space, which happens more when we are at home.

Tough one to call this, hull are good at home and Bruce has built a stron unit defensively. But then away games we are better and will be on a high from beating city. Just watched that Kerlon link that was put up and afterwards it linked me a video of Ronaldo's (Brazilian) goals. It's easy to forget how good he was. Had everything to his game. Just a shame injuries and took a toll towards the end.
