  1. 12,000 at Stoke tonight. Against Premier League opposition and for a place in the FA Cup quarter finals. Congratulations to the FA for totally destroying this once great trophy.
  2. Yeah I agree. He is a good goalkeeper but not the best in the world. He has won this award because of the World Cup and not because of his performances for the year at Villa. That said, it's great for the club to have a player win such an award and it shows you don't have to be playing for CL club to do it.* *(Just winning the world cup with Messi in your team will do) Well done Emi.
  3. Palace forum has pretty much all of them expecting them to win. 2-0 or 2-1 to them seems a common prediction. With a couple opting for them to win 3-0! I guess that's what happens when you lose so often at home, other teams don't fear coming to play you. We badly need a win here.
  4. The mythical top half is winking at us again. That means we will either fail to win, or we win and Chelsea beat Leeds, meaning STILL no top half. But I'd take the latter. And that's what I expect to happen. 2-1 Villa Edit: Wrong thread. Oops
  5. Yeah I can't think why journalists might not want to upset their owners....
  6. Not sure how tall he is, his nationality or where we signed him from but I bloody love him.
  7. Interestingly, I can't recall a single moment Motty/Villa moment. Unless maybe Dean Saunders from 40 yards v Ipswich?
  8. Gone at 77. The sound of football for me as a kid. FA Cup 3rd round day, along with Tonny Gubba and Barry Davies. Then theres the England internationals, the Cup final and the early editions of FIFA on the PlayStation. Legend.
  9. Absolutely. Christopher Hitchens did some great stuff on her. She was the worst of the worst. Evil masquerading as a Saint.
  10. Boxing. And moreover, the modern day so called Boxing "fan". 20 years ago I swear hardly anyone watched it (other than the big heavyweight fights) Nowadays it seems the world and his dog has an opinion and every single fight on the planet. Then when you look at the people who are actually there, they seem to be the absolute dregs of society. The worst of the football hooligans. A total chav sport. At least it is these days.
  11. Could pair him up with a Leeds defender and have the Gomez Adams duo. Be good for Sheff "Wednesday".
  12. Terrible. Weak as piss folding yet again. Back to back 4-2 home defeats having been in front 3 times. Fear it'll be 4 losses in a row by the time we play Palace. Sickening
  13. So you've got no problem with the Villa (as well as every other cub in the country) being cheated by Man City and their dodgy regime then? Seriously?
  14. Of course they will win the title. They were always going to. And yes, it is a total sham.
  15. Yes and that's why we haven't managed to get into the top half. I'm beginning to think we won't spend a single minute on the top half this season. Seems everytime we get close we balls it up and the teams above us won't keep slipping up.
  16. As I said in another thread, Liverpool will qualify for Europe and I wouldn't be surprised if they finish 4th. They will improve and have a game in hand. Interesting that even if we beat Arsenal we STILL wouldn't be in the top half.
  17. True, but they've been top all season and IF they were to lose at home to the cheats on Wednesday, they would be behind on goal difference and with a game in hand. If they beat them then they are 6 points clear with a game in hand. Anyway my point is, we have a very difficult match against a side who are flying this season followed by an Everton team with a new manager. So the Palace game may become very important to get the confidence flowing again.
  18. If he wasn't a footballer he'd be struggling to get a job stacking shelves in Aldi. I've got a yoghurt in my fridge with a highr IQ than Jack Grealish.
  19. Our game against them is going to be a big one for both sides I reckon. It may well be our next good chance of a win on current form, now that Everton have the new manager bounce and we have the runaway leaders next.
  20. At least there is a small chance we may get something from this game. Unfortunately it would help Cheaters FC if we did but we need to think of ourselves. 3 defeats on the spin will make the Everton game even tougher so a hard earned point here would be most welcome. Bailey must not start, Mings needed to replace Chambers and McGinn for Ramsey. Maybe even Coutinho starting for Emi to change things up.
  21. Scores 3 goals in 2 games and we lose both. Not his fault of course, but bloody frustrating.
  22. Ramsey will be lucky to stay at Villa on current form and not be loaned out. He won't be going anywhere near Liverpool unless we play there. And fwiw, I think Wijnaldum is a good player although not sure about the Wolves chap.
  23. Bellingham? Come on now. That's just ridiculous and you know it. Jude Bellingham is on another planet to almost every young player this country has produced in decades. A regular for Dortmund in the Champions League, a starter at the world cup, including in the quarter finals and an overall phenomenal player. Ramsey is a decent young player, like thousands before him, that will do ok but never make the very top level. I mean, he is playing regular football at PL level so he has done very well to get as far as he has, dont get me wrong. But Bellingham is already AT that top level. And it's many level above where Ramsey is or will be. There is no chance that Liverpool or anyone else is considering Ramsey as an alternative to Bellingham.
