  1. Lol. That's not a source, that's tabloid trash.
  2. I know what you mean. Whilst I'm looking forward to going to the game, I'm also wary that there's a lot of confident talk knocking about from our fans. Which in itself is fine, except they do have some very good players and they are bound to click at some point. History tells us that in such cases, it's usually against Villa. A draw here would be a good result.
  3. I would be shocked if he went back there.
  4. Kamara won't be starting
  5. I doubt that very much. I don't know why people think this? Pochetino and Levy can't stand each other.
  6. I think they are all horrendous. The top one being the least bad.
  7. Lol. What a load of nonsense. Villa are considering offering a bid that wouldn't be accepted? Now why would they do that? The amount of attention seeking tools on Twitter never ceases to amaze me. Nor the amount of people that pay any attention to them. They know f*** all.
  8. Agreed and I'd go further than that and say the composure and skill needed to score a penalty is something many players don't have. There is a reason Gabby didn't really take penalties.
  9. The NYD win with headers from Mellberg and Laursen?
  10. Not sure we'll be signing too many players in March.
  11. The owners are fully aware of that fact though and are planning for the long haul. You can see that with everything they do, from the training ground, to the stadium expansion and even to the transfer windows where we are happy to miss out on a player and come back when the price is right. Such as Guendozi. We will need to start getting into Europe soon, not only to attract better players, but to keep the ones we have. Such as Martinez. We need to be looking to next season with the intention of going for that top 7. Other teams like Newcastle, maybe Brighton, will be in Europe and we need to match that or miss out.
  12. Saw that earlier. Love, love, love Villa fans so 8 out of 10? Their scoring system is a bit off. Don't want fans to enjoy coming to Villa Park tbh, I'd much rather they hate every second of it and then bugger off home.
  13. The state of this thread. Seriously? Not wanting us to qualify for Europe as its not worth the cost, playing our reserve team if we get there, rather we focused on the league..... Genuinely can't believe I'm reading that stuff. I'd absolutely LOVE Villa to be in ANY European competition, regardless of how much it generates the club. We are Aston Villa and to be absent from Europe for over a decade whilst the likes of Wigan, Burnley, Swansea and even the unwashed have qualified for it is shocking. Couldn't care less which European competition we get and whenever it happens, we should be going full strength and trying to win it. I honestly have no clue what the point of being a fan is if we are to turn our noses up at continental football. Of any kind. And I think in the next few years, we will get there.
  14. Football Factory. Proppa nawty.
  15. I still think Liverpool might get it. But yeah, Brighton will be in the mix for sure.
  16. Wouldn't be a huge surprise. That clubs fan base has to be the most ridiculously deluded in the Premier League. The level of expectation for a club that hasn't won the league since Noah was a lad is off the scale.
  17. I saw him a lot at Dortmund but haven't seen him once since he went to corrupt FC. I refuse to watch Man City games and I won't even watch when they play us at their place. I genuinely can't understand why anyone would watch a Man City game. What they have done and are continuing to do to football deserves nothing but scorn and derision. They should be kicked out of the league and be stripped of everything they've stolen since the takeover. Yes Haaland is a good player, but I couldn't care less. Its all illegitimate.
  18. Well, Villa have been trying damned hard to do that for decades.
  19. I think he will go out on loan next season as we are bound to buy a new striker. He certainly doen't look anything close to Prem level yet, but he is one for the future and clearly has potential.
  20. I don't watch cup competitions once Villa are out but just saw the scores from this weekends FA Cup and my immediate thought was: how boring and predictable. 6-0 and 5-0 in the FA Cup Quarter finals and both Manchester clubs through to the semis. Man City will win it and nobody will care. Not even their own fans who will shuffle out of Wembley with 10 minutes to go as they go 3 nil up. Ooh the excitement.
  21. I meant "no chance" more in the vernacular. Of course there is a chance but ai meant it wont happen. If they win one of the two games in hand they are 12th. They are only in the bottom 3 because they have played 1 or 2 less games than those around them. They will be fine.
  22. No chance West Ham are going down. There are at least 3 worse teams over 38 games than them.
  23. If he'd have been with us since August, we could have qualified for Europe I still have absolutely no f***** clue how we got knocked out the FA Cup though. He is a cup winning manager. Hopefully we will give the cups a proper good go next season. We can win something under him.
  24. I've stood up for Emi in the past and have no reason not to again today. Yes he lost a couple of physical duels and he didn't have his best game, but he still scored and looked lively throughout.
