  1. Kevin Grealish supports Kevin Grealish. A Man United fan in his younger days, he is absolutely not a Villa fan.
  2. I'd love them to get relegated if only so that we don't have to roll over at the Etihad for one f****** season.
  3. Yeah I've never got the hype. He is a decent player and I think he can play at PL level but he won't be international quality or go for big money.
  4. Then you haven't been paying attention to: A, All our visits to that shit hole (bar last season where we threw away a 2 goal lead to hand them the title} B, The siege mentality that they were going to clearly have after what's happened and C, The dreadful performances we have had in most games since beating Spurs on NYD. This was always going to be a hammering. Always.
  5. I said this in the prematch thread. I go to every away game but I'm not even watching this one on TV. Hate playing them away. Totally pointless (literally) every season.
  6. We only meed 3 wins to stay up and I think we'll get them comfortably. We won't be top half but we will be easily be 12th or 13th I reckon.
  7. Here we go. 1 already. And THAT is why I wished we didn't have to play this fixture. We just roll over for them year on year.
  8. I just feel West Ham will hit some good form. You don't become awful overnight, they've just had a bad season. They'll be fine I think. Leeds however, only just stayed up last season and I think they'll struggle to get enough points this time.
  9. No chance will West Ham go down. The only question left is will it be Leeds or Everton who take the last place. (Southampton and Bournemouth already gone imo) Maybe there's a chance Forest could have a horrendous run in and drop into it but as I say, I think it's gonna be Leeds or Everton and I'd go for Leeds.
  10. No it was pointing out how much I despise playing Man City away. This one particular fixture. It always ends badly and their fans are arseholes. But if you can't see that them I have nothing more to add.
  11. If he's not good enough then he's not going to be selected. You can't force a manager to play him of he isn't performing but you can recall him and send him off to another team. Maybe a lower division?
  12. The first non "offside" was correct as he didn't touch the ball in that phase. The 2nd one is a shocker though, as the player who assisted the goal was in a stonewall clear offside position.
  13. Lol. How's your motivational speech coming along?
  14. Why? Are you playing? Just pointing out that our record their is horrendous and I despise playing them. Since nobody on this forum is playing the game I don't need to be motivational and pretend otherwise. I'll leave that for the manager and the people that will actually be on the pitch.
  15. Watching MOTD and that goal music at Leicester is probably the most annoying thing in football.
  16. If they win their 2 games in hand they will be 5 points of 4th with 16 games to go. They definitely aren't out of it yet.
  17. I still think Liverpool or Chelsea will finish top 4. Still 17 games to go and one or both will click soon enough. Gonna be tough for Newcastle to do it this year.
  18. True. I'm not expecting anything to be done this season either. But if they did get a deduction, Newcastle would benefit.
  19. They'd still stay up. In fact, I reckon they would stay up if they were on 0 points. 17 games to go to get 35ish points wouldn't be a problem for them. Looking like Leeds will be the team to drop with Bournemouth and Southampton.
  20. Brentford and Fulham look the real deal this season. No signs of either dropping off. Wolves and Leicester winning isn't good for us as I am desperate to finish as the top Midlands club for the first time in over a decade, even if it is in the bottom half. Both are creeping up on us and we still have to go to both their grounds. Not a great set of results for us this weekend. Need to try and get something against Arsenal next week really.
  21. Why have you given home games as examples? Talk about being strawmanned! I said we never get a result AT MAN CITY. And we usually get hammered. Here are our league results at their place in the last 10 years: Manchester City 5 v 0 Aston Villa Manchester City 4 v 0 Aston Villa Manchester City 4 v 0 Aston Villa Manchester City 3 v 0 Aston Villa Manchester City 2 v 0 Aston Villa Manchester City 3 v 2 Aston Villa You don't see any hammerings there? Ok mate. We've scored in just one of our last 6 visits there, conceding 21 goals in the process. You know if you are going to quote someone then you should really do it honestly. Our record their is appalling. With plenty of hammerings. Being optimistic is one thing, but ignoring the facts and changing the goalposts on what someone has posted is totally different matter.
  22. We never, ever get a result at Man City and usually get hammered. If we lose by 2 or less its a result for us there given everything. The odds are like that for a good reason. I'd rather we didn't play this game each season and just give up the 3 points to focus on the next match. Hate this fixture more than any other. They'll batter us.
  23. I think FlyBe is even more suitable. They somehow managed to go bust twice.
