  1. We never, ever get a result at Man City and usually get hammered. If we lose by 2 or less its a result for us there given everything. The odds are like that for a good reason. I'd rather we didn't play this game each season and just give up the 3 points to focus on the next match. Hate this fixture more than any other. They'll batter us.
  2. I think FlyBe is even more suitable. They somehow managed to go bust twice.
  3. Not missed an away match since September but would rather stick pins in my eyes than go to this so given up my tickets. Horrible scumbag fans and a club to match. Plus we always lose here no matter what.
  4. OFAH, Porridge, FT, Allo Allo, The Office were all brilliant. Hasn't been anything remotely funny since The Office IMHO and find Inbetweeners type "comedy" just childish and not remotely funny. As for Bottom, I find it an insult to our incredible language diversity and the humour and witt that is so revered around the world, that this show was ever made. Comedy is of course subjective but that show was just pure tripe. Someone being smashed with a hammer? Oh how clever and witty. Regarding the FT remake, that will just be the biggest pile of steaming s*** ever and I cannot believe its happening.
  5. Imagine losing the "Aguerooooo" title. I know they got to enjoy it at the time, but if they were stripped of it, it wouldn't be shown on repeat anymore like it has been ad nauseum for years, plus, it would be rendered irrelevant.* *Not that I think anything of the sort will happen of course.
  6. They are a despicable club with a nasty and arrogant fan base. They aren't a "great addition to the top of the league" at all. They are cheats. Plain and simple. And the sooner they f*** off back to their rightful place in the lower leagues the better. Somehow, they became worse than their neighbours as soon as they won the Arabic lottery, and the league will be a far better place without them. If you aren't sure, go and read their forum. Says it all.
  7. Ah ok apologies. Hard to tell as there are many people, even on this forum, that think he actually might.
  8. When he leaves Man City in the summer, it will be a to another Champions League club. Probably Newcastle if they qualify. He isn't coming back here.
  9. Nope. They won't punish them in any conceivable way. Same as Chelsea. They will get a 2 point deduction suspended for 2 years and will be given a transfer embargo for the window that's just gone. One thing we know by now is that these clubs can do what they want. This is all just noise. Nothing will happen.
  10. I don't think we will get dragged into relegation as we almost have enough points on the board already. Despite the defeat on Saturday, we are still in relatively good form and have a good few winnable games left still. That said, it will bemost likely 3 losses on the spin by the time we take on Palace so we will need to win that one. Still think we will finish where we are now in 11th. Bournemouth and Southampton are definitely going down and I think it'll be Leeds they drop with.
  11. 3-0. Haaland with 2. Think our next win will be Palace at home.
  12. Still maintain we could have beaten them and had Ollie took his early chance we would have I reckon. Still annoyed by that game. Liverpool are far from unbeatable. I bet they end up in Europe still tho. Along with Chelsea.
  13. Exactly. Newcastle are the exception as they were bought out by a petro state with a literrally infinite amount of money. As such, they will now win lots of trophies and compete for everything forevermore. Teams like Brighton, may occasionally sneak into the Europa League before falling back down the league. They can never possibly hope for more than that. That's just the way it is unfortunately.
  14. Great fiction film but absolutely NOT the story of Billy Hayes. Takes the term "based on a true story" to whole new levels.
  15. As I say, it's out manager that is changing it, not the opposition.
  16. I think its us that choose to turn around at the start. Emery wants a fast start and it has certainly worked in terms of scoring early.
  17. I'm guessing this is tongue in cheek as nobody in their right mind believes in that "jinx" claptrap. Do they? I said all along that we will do well to get top half and was called "unambitious" amongst other things. (Like what I or any other fan predicts has any bearing on the outcome whatsoever) I suggested that the danger of unrealistic expectations is that it will manifest itself in the kind of negativity seen from sections of our crowd yesterday, when we inevitably don't reach the heights expected. Point being, we need to be patient. We aren't yet a top half side but we will get there. Talk of Europe was always ridiculously premature and, judging by yesterdays booing, some fans almost expected it. Some probably still do. We are a work in progress and need to get behind the manager and be realistic. 10th would be amazing. Top 8 next season is doable, but there was never a cat in hells chance of such a high finish this season. We were full strength yesterday and lost 4-2 at home to a team in 14th. We will have games where we aren't full-strength and still only have one senior striker. I think 11th is where we will stay. Huge summer ahead.
  18. What I mean is that I would rather be Villa under Emery and losing this game knowing we are building something, than Villa under Gerrard getting random wins but with no clear plan. Does that make more sense? Probably didnt explain myself well enough tbf.
  19. Better than Ross McCormack on gates, who couldn't get to the top of it.
  20. As mad as it sounds, I'd rather have lost that game today under Emery, than win it under Gerrard. We are building something here and it takes time. Now let's go and beat Man City.
  21. Yep, clean sheets, kick **** out of the opposition, long ball, set pieces, hope that'll be enough. That's his likely plan.
  22. No disrespect but one of the things I hate most is criticism of real fans celebrating. The "they are celebrating like they won the Champions League" comments from daytrippers and glory hunters whenever you beat the Sky 6 piss me off no end. They got a point away to their far more illustrious neighbours after they had watched them spend the GDP of a small nation in the January window, and rightly feel proud. Good on 'em.
