  1. tbf if we had Couts and Buendia in that team.......im sure they would have spotted Hogan's intelligent runs......
  2. 15-20m euros?, so 13 to 17m ish?
  3. Starmer has made a rod for his own back though, by going on and on endlessly about Johnson resigning for doing it. I think Johnson should have gone, as well as any of the other cronies who did the same, it really boils my blood that they were doing this s*** while normal people couldnt even be with their dying family members due to "the rules". On the flip side, Starmer should also go, along with anyone else involved if similar is found (if proven), its ironic that Starmer could probably have rode it out easily, if he didnt push it and make a rod for his own back too, i find it doubly amazing that they would have been stupid enough to push that line when they were (allegedly) doing the exact same thing. tbf tho, i would say im surprised, but im not, 95% of them (politicians) are all at the trough and bent as a 9 bob note, i wouldnt be surprised if nodoby, from any side stepped down over it, such is the cess pit that is parliament.
  4. The *Liverpool Tax for Idiot Clubs*. IE, they managed to get: Lovren - 11m Solanke - 19m Ward - 13m Sakho - 25m Ibe - 16m Allen - 14m Borini - 10m Carroll - 16m Meireles - 12m I wouldnt touch a Liverpool player (who they are desperate to sell), with a barge poll, unless i was 100% certain they were actually good.....
  5. KKH coming home then, as MK Dons lost in their semis. (won the game, but lost over 2 legs).
  6. i think that was a highly underrated result, Burnley were on a run of 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss in their last 6 games. I could go on about the lovely goals and some lovely play, but honestly, what impressed me most was how we fought, battled and pressed for every inch of the pitch, was great to see, historically our achilles heel but it was clear to see the fight in this match.
  7. Ironically, the goal Ings scored yesterday was exactly the type of goal pukki used to score with buendia assisting. As buendia said in an interview about pukki, when I get the ball I don't need to look up, I know pukki is running and I just need to put the ball in the right place. Pukki is an intelligent player, and so is ings, I think they are forming a similar relationship, which is great for us.

    Ezri Konsa

i just always feel like he's a ticking time bomb on the pitch, he really doesnt look comfortable on or off the ball. Its not even like he has only had a small rough patch, he has been really poor, literally almost the entire season.
  9. ye, i think he could defo play in the central 3, whether that would be his best position though is another question. tbf tho, i would rather have him in the midfield 3, than not in the 11 at all, he's just too good not to be in the first 11.
  10. ye, hopefully if we get a few players this summer, more on his wavelength, we will see some of these passes come off with more intelligent players around him, i do think sometimes, that his vision is one step ahead a lot of our squad. Ings seems to be on the same wavelength though, and i would class Ings as an intelligent player. Also Couts, ofc.
  11. Tbh, a DM performance of not much to note, when the team wins 3-1, is probably a good comment with regard to him doing his job well, i would guess.
  12. we quite simply need to find a way to have them both in the team, for me, the two of them are our best 2 players, by a fair margin. For me, the front 3 needs to be Coutinho, Ings & Buendia, in some form or way. Or....maybe even Buendia in the midfield 3 somehow. But regardless, both Couts and Emi need to play.
  13. I agree that Gerrard has shown strengths and weaknesses since he joined, and i think this summer will be huge in terms of improvements/transfers (i hope), but just look at this table showing our last 3 years PL points performance. Looking at where we were points wise after game 11, i think he has...overall.....done a decent job. We are currently 5 points behind last years points total (in the same game time frame), thats not too bad considering that after 11 games, we were 1 point worse off than our near relegation year.
  14. 2-0, great. However, 60/40 possession in Burnley's favour, if Gerrard wants us to become a possession team we have a long, LONG way to go. basically 60/40 possession, in the oppositions favour versus both Norwich and Burnley, we arent anywhere near a possession team are we.
  15. i thought in that one (if im thinking of the same match), we went 1-0 up, missed over 9000 chances in the first half, then went 3-1 down in the second half, and we then pulled one back to make it 3-2, ending 3-2?
  16. what is this, 3421/3412....... or is this 433 with Chambers as the 6, and McGinn/Luiz as the 8s?
  17. Considering we are scoring so few, i cant see how that stat is a positive, tbh it would seem more a negative......
  18. mad to think that a League 1 club has a stadium with 49k capacity! (amazing how Sunderland fell down the leagues)
  19. I thought this was pretty shocking, but also not surprising, unfortunately. Football is really on a downward spiral, yes it might be going on a current upwards trajectory financially, but at the expense of the actual fans, but the short-termism in terms of money grabbing, protection of big clubs etc, i think even though the money is increasing, i think it spells a long term decline if this continues, as the long term fan base will decrease due to the terrible decisions being made. (it might not....but it should if it continues like this). Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has questioned why almost half the tickets for the Champions League final against Real Madrid are not allocated to the clubs. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/61354435
  20. The answer is to play 4231. But that ofc is never gonna happen unfortunately.
  21. ye, i agree Davis is a quality championship player, he did really well before his injury. at least if we get relegated this year, we will be able to have Davis & Archer leading the front line!!!
