    we are 100% guilty of overrating many of our players, i think only 4-6 are top 8 capable, the rest are mid to lower table quality. I agree the current batch is mid, to lower end of the table quality. I question whether some are even PL quality.

    i find it honestly mind boggling, how we have had this clear and obvious issue for so long, and we never solve it, its like self harm. I agree we need two top level midfielders in the summer. For me, Ramsey is the only one of our senior midfielders who i see as being part of a midfield progressing us up the league. Namakba, Luiz, McGinn.......not good enough, at all.

    he isnt good enough to be a 10 (in anything above mid table). He just isnt good enough, unless its in a low possession, on the break, direct type of team.

    exactly the same problem Grealish had early on. Realised the players around him are gash, so drops deeper and deeper to get the ball, to try and be involved. We need to fix the midfield in the summer, critically so, its mind boggling how poor our midfield is. New striker also tbf.....i think once we get the right players in, Couts and Buendia will be something else.

    not a chance. But i do worry that a lot of ppl, including the coaches, seem to think the answer is yes.

    i agree with this, McGinn is a low possession, on the break type player. He cant be part of a possession team, no way.

    if we are honest, thats been pretty much true for the last 3 years in the PL. Maybe that just points to a fair few of our players, are just not as good as we think they are.

    yeah i found that strange, im sure anyone with eyes, who actually has watched Villa over the last 3 years or so, knows that Hause is a monster in the air. Was also surprised he wasnt really discussed with regard to strength.
