lets be brutally honest, if it werent for Gerrard (also NWSE ofc willing to back the club), but in terms of having the money AND being able to persuade Couts to come here, it would have happened without Gerrard. fair play.

if he was on 400k, he is now on 120k. I would propose 70% doesnt sound right, i can imagine he's on 150k ish maybe....maybe a bit more?, dunno.

i dont mean all 3, i just mean the midfield 3 will be much more solid, so maybe ramsey, a DM and another, like Kondogbia/Kamara, Ramsey, Bissouma, or something.

tbh i thought it was fairly well accepted that jesus existed, i cant quote sources, but im fairly sure there is a reasonable amount of evidence relating to it. I suppose the genuine debate for me, isnt whether he existed or not, but whether he was what was claimed. Personally i have no doubt he was a person who existed (in the pure human sense).

for me: new DC (Caleta-Car, ?, etc) new DM (6) (Phillips, Kondogbia, etc) new MC (8) (Bissouma, Gallagher, etc) new ST (who knows.....but i think we are lacking true pace and power up front)

said this a few weeks ago, and i still think its right. Signing Coutinho is as much about the massive statement that the signing makes, as the current ability of the little magician. Even is Coutinho is 70% the player he was 3-4 years ago, thats plenty good enough for us imo (right now), but the transfer statement itself is just as important, and if it is made permanent, its an absolutely huge statement of a signing.

even if a club doesnt have a player at their club, they can sign them at any time, they just cant physically register them, until the registration window opens. As he is on loan, we can sign him, but when his loan ends that will then become permanent from the pre transfer agreement. the window doesnt stop you from buying players outside it, it just stops you physically registering them until the registration period opens.

yeah i thought that. If you have a league, with 1 team in the CL, and that team does even fairly decent, it would give that league a very good chance of getting an additional spot (compared to a league with 4 teams, where the total is averaged by 4 - unless all 4 of those teams do well).

Recently, i think Coutinho is making the same mistakes Grealish used to make early on. By that i mean, he realises a few players arent at his level, and he wants to drop too deep to try and impact the game/pick up the ball, rather than staying forward a bit and trying to impact the game where it matters. Hopefully, if we do sign him, and we sign some more players who are more capable on the ball, we will see the best of him.
