  1. Think the J-League has been postponing games for the past week or two.
  2. You said fine margins between teams originally, which is definitely false as the gap between the haves and have nots is at an all time worst and is getting worse every day (just like life). Margins for managers is different entirely.
  3. Didn't want to come to us under Bruce as he reportedly didn't like our style of football.....and then 18 months later he signs for Boro

  5. Or it suits his agenda. Just like his comment "we couldn't afford Jack Grealish". Pep is a brilliant manager, but like a lot of managers in front of the media, they talk a bunch of bollocks to suit themselves.
  6. Was in the crowd to witness this one yesterday.
  7. 4 goals, 6 assists in 13 appearances last season. Scored in their season opener on the weekend also.
  8. Seems to definitely improve us at corners/attacking set pieces.
  9. Off topic but Deulofeu is gone for the season now and a decent chunk of next I'd imagine.
  10. We were 2nd best, but we all knew that was going to be the case going into the game and we avoided a Watford-esque humiliation which was my fear going into it. But to be denied an equaliser at the end of the game by a great save and the angle that it hit the post and to concede earlier from a corner that shouldn't have been given is still **** gutting. Especially when winning this cup would mean so much to us and means so little to a large portion of them. Credit to the those in the claret & blue end for representing the club so well. Now back to the reality of a relegation battle. I don't know what is going to happen but fear the worst. We've got to give ourselves the best chance by eliminating the lifeless performances like Watford & Southampton away. Up the Villa.
  11. Re-watched The Big Short the other night. Makes an incredibly dull sector of investment markets interesting viewing. Quality.
  12. This is a totally uninformed opinion, but Chicago I feel should never be a team that has to rebuild for too long because the city should be an attractive proposition for Free Agents. I know this doesn't guarantee success but it also provides a quick platform to being competitive. I know it can depend where on where the superstars are currently but the teams in Los Angeles/New York/Brooklyn/Miami/San Francisco & Chicago should be able to attract free agent talent that your cities like Detroit/Milwaukee/Portland and many others can't.
  13. Fan votes are horrific. Always just comes down to the biggest and most parochial fan bases.
  14. Support could be massive for us on Sunday. Hope it's able to give the players a boost and inspire them on the weekend. Off topic. According to the bookmaker I prefer here in Australia, we are $12 to win the League Cup, for Man City to win and Ederson to score a goal (excludes penalty shootout) $4.
  15. Phoenix have probably the worst owner in all of the NBA, since Sterling was forced to sell. EDIT - Could throw Dolan in there also I guess. But Sarver just seems like a massive tightarse. Selling picks for $$$.
  16. Yeah, it does include that cup victory. We lost a game 3-2 somewhere in there too. Apart from those 3 games, we've either failed to trouble the scorer or been limited to 1.
