  1. So what are we looking at then? A fans vs club battle legally as they haven't followed FA procedures? Will they just go ahead and we won't have a leg to stand on? This could really sour the atmosphere around the whole club, especially saddening when things are going so well on the pitch at the moment. It was the other way around about a year ago.
  2. I'd be so much more relaxed if we had more of an idea if 5th place gets you a CL spot. I've had a funny feeling all season that we will need to win the Conference final to get that spot confirmed.
  3. They've all been incredible, but I'd give it to Bailey because of the improvement he has made compared to other seasons. A lot of people, including myself had given up on him but he's been nothing short of sensational this season. It's a relief because I was so excited when we signed him. £25m really does look a steal now.
  4. It's such a mess. We got the penalty yesterday. Arsenal didn't get one against us for exactly the same thing. Liverpool got one for exactly the same thing on the same day that Arsenal didn't get theirs. I **** hate it. I don't celebrate goals anymore. Diaby's goal being given was more surprise than anything. I hate that they don't show anyone in the stadium, that is paying hundreds every year, what is going on. I have to rely on mates on Whatsapp who are watching an illegal stream to tell me which foul or decision they are checking. I went down for a piss when Burnley's offside goal was getting checked and the TVs in the concourse area had replays with all the lines on, whilst the people watching in the stands still hadn't reacted because they don't have a clue what is going on. I was always against VAR because it would take away the 'moment' of scoring a goal, but this is far, far worse than I ever imagined it would be. I'm pretty sure I've made identical posts to this before in here but it frustrates me so much.
  5. 17 goal contributions from 20 games. He's having an incredible season.
  6. We've got to get past this Burnley game and then we will have most of our big players back. It definitely hurts how we should have an extra 5 points and be top of the table now though.
  7. The club would easily sell out an extra 10,000 seats if all those seats were made into ST seats. They wanted to have thousands of corporate tickets in the new North Stand and after what's happened with the Terrace etc they know they won't sell them.
  8. Both 2 of the GOATS. Red Dead though for me. Cyberpunk is a superb game now however.
  9. Their season could be over in a few weeks. Brutal run of games upcoming and an injured/fatigued squad to boot.
  10. How likely is it that 5th place gets CL then? Because a win today could see us 12 points clear.
  11. I think we're almost guaranteed to finish above them if we can avoid a defeat on Boxing Day. We should certainly be favourites for it.
  12. Fair play to him. Didn't celebrate much either, he had every right to.
  13. Are the club going to put out an official statement on this or what? Would be nice to know exactly what is going on.
  14. I doubt there will ever be a European Super League. A World Super League funded by the Saudis though..
  15. Saudi. And obviously it won't be free for long. Once they're in, they're in.
  16. I really, really hope this is just Heck playing the scapegoat and the club don't want to admit they're delaying it because they want a full stadium for a potential CL campaign. They obviously couldn't just come out and say that if that's what really what is going on.
  17. I do wonder if something else is at play here. Andy Street has been bigging up the expansion for a long time, and has recently been teasing big news that's imminent, I would assume we are constantly in communication with the council about the comings and goings of the new stand. The club has also spent years of time, effort and money getting these plans ready, all for it to go to waste with less than a year to go? Then we have the investment announcement last week, with very little explanation as to what they are investing in. Something is up. If I had to put money on anything, I'd say a new stadium. And I don't believe anything Heck says to a reporter about it now being true, he and the club have said the new stand is going ahead every time they've been asked up until now.
  18. I'm absolutely gutted about this. Apart from winning a trophy or potential CL football, that stand was the thing I was most excited about going forwards for the Villa. It started to feel 'off' when they changed their plans for Villa Live (which I thought would be a really cool idea), then they just started to go quieter and quieter on the whole redevelopment. For me the new stand was going to be a big part of the legacy of the owner's time at the club. Something to be really proud of. Now I'm left wondering what hidden messages are surrounding the shelved plans and whether it's a sign the owners may not be around in the long-term after all. As others have said, we really needed this stand to look the part, and keep moving forward along with other clubs we're competing with. All our supposed rivals have either got a much larger stadium, built a new stadium or have improved upon an already existing stadium. We haven't done anything to ours since I was 9 years old!
  19. The ST prices next season are going to be scary.
