    Happy with that selection, it’s strong but still achieves rotation and integration. Looking forward to hearing how Tim and Rogers get on. I say hearing as I’m about to set off driving from Lancaster to Doncaster so will miss it, let’s hope the audio is good quality and doesn’t involve Jack Woodward!

    Just read his Ajax presser comments where he mentions he’s not played Ajax before in his SIXTEEN consecutive years in European competition. I already knew of that run, but just the a moment to think about that. 16 solid years of solid Europa, Champions League and Conference League experience. We really have the best possible manager we could have wished for.

    Yep great news that it’s nothing serious, about time we had some luck with injuries! A fit and firing JJ will make such a difference to our run in.

    I’d completely forgotten about Henderson being at Ajax. A quick check of his stats and he’s played four league games and one ECL game for them. The data would suggest he’s been a fairly solid 7 to 7.5 out of 10, with good passing accuracy and the odd shot. His experience will be good for them but I hope our midfield runs rings around the word removed.

    Good idea. I’d happily go if I was more local and not working away tomorrow. As it stands I won’t even get to watch it, will have to settle for the audio coverage in the car on the drive home.

    Ajax won’t be anything near a pushover, they’ve improved lately and at home will be a big test for us. We need a near full strength team to stand a chance of winning, with one or two rotations at most. We’ve seen us struggle away in Europe but I do think that Ajax will have a go at us which can play into our hands. Can’t see them Mostar’ing us with a super low block. The name Ajax, and the Johan Cruyff Arena, should have our players buzzing for this. It’s nights like these that playing in Europe is all about. Hoping for a steady win but a draw wouldn’t be a disaster. I do think we will win though. A performance like AZ away would be amazing, then sub some players off for a rest.

    Haaland feeling the pressure of Watkins coming for his golden boot made him miss that chance Dead atmosphere at the Emptihad, no support for their team against their biggest rivals, I guess that’s what happens when you buy a fan base in from elsewhere.     Just put the Luton Citeh game on. Would prefer a Luton win but with 5 or 6 injuries in the process.. already 0-2 to the cheats. Are there any other games on TV? Edit: I know the keenbot 2000 declares the TV channels in his OP, but forgive me if I don’t trust someone who still thinks Sky Sports 3 is a thing, and who can’t spell February.

    Young performed to that high standard consistently for years, let’s hope Bailey can do the same now he’s found his feet. They’re different types of winger but I get the comparison.
