  1. A decent start really, a goal would be very welcome though.
  2. Forest seem to have some good ideas but not the skill to pull it off.
  3. Would have loved to be there today. These are the good times that we’ve waited so long for, I wish I could go more often than I do but I’m still loving it from home. UTV
  4. Didn’t Konsa tell him to show some respect as well?
  5. Pep crying He had a right little tantrum, glad Shearer put him straight at least a little bit. Our manager would never cry about the fixtures like that.
  6. EFL had to rule it offside mate, serious concerns that Zulu’s would take over the stadium and destroy it. Proppa fans, hardcore, 20k away at Rotherham, better watch out.
  7. I’m not sure how impactful it would be though singing SOTC and MOMS etc… to an away end packed with just 20 small heathens.
  8. Former Villan, Viktor Johannson, and Seb Revan both starting for Rotherham at home to small heath. Hope that lot from up the road help the Millers to the 3 points.
  9. If I wasn’t busy doing better things today I’d have quite enjoyed the 20 min drive to Rotherham to lend my support for the afternoon. Being the obsessed and rattled viler that I am.
  10. At the start of the season my aspirations for Villa were to qualify for Europe again, and go far in the ECL. We’ve done that already, and with a really bad string of injuries. What we have and will still achieve is brilliant, and even if we only finish 5th and get knocked out in the semis, I’ll still be really pleased with the season. Obviously I still want us to get fourth and win the ECL, I believe we will tbh. But if we don’t, it’s not the doom scenario that some are making out. Apart from possibly having to sell a player to provide spending room, I cannot see Watkins or Martinez asking to leave. We are a club on the rise, and they have both improved immensely under Unai. Everyone improves with Emery, that’s why we are now a very attractive proposition for players. We are not about to see a bunch of the first team kick off and demand to leave because we didn’t get Champions League at first time of asking.
  11. Looks like some of the houses on the adjacent Holte Road have already begun to be erased… a few more to go and the land is Villa’s! Mwahhahahah!
  12. Diaby hasn’t been that bad in his first season, he’s got a reasonable goal contribution return and has scored some excellent goals. He’s played his part in the team’s success, a top four team don’t forget. He’ll improve next season I’m sure of it. But I do wish we’d get him on the shoulder of defenders more running into space, he’s quick and a good finisher but we’re not seeing those characteristics as much.
  13. The stuff of nightmares for those of a French persuasion.
  14. The injury list often gets overlooked by people outside of the club, it’s barely ever recognised or acknowledged tbh. That’s partly down to the fact Unai never complains about it and never blames injuries for defeats. He breeds a genuine ‘no excuse’ culture into the squad and makes every player feel valued. Plenty more coaches whinge about their injuries and the media plaster it everywhere. We operate somewhat under the radar, just how Unai likes it.
  15. Took me a few watches to spot him. He proper loves it but still keeps himself in the background, unlike a certain donkey toothed scouse manager who would almost certainly be on the pitch muscling in on the action.
  16. I love this man so much and I think he loves Villa too. Can’t see him wanting to go anywhere else any time soon, he’s not achieved his goals with us yet. The wave he’s riding has nowhere near peaked.
  17. I’m not worried about Tottenham’s extra rest, it doesn’t always guarantee success in the first match back. How many times have we seen teams’ form drop off after an international break, for example. Like Emery has said, he prefers us to play twice a week as it keeps the intensity up and we can implement changes quickly. Villa are in good form right now, I’d rather play Bournemouth while we are still buzzing than have a week off to potentially go off the boil.
  18. We can do this, just needed to get to the break and let Emery work his magic now. Football is boring when it’s easy, and we’re making this as hard as possible. Let’s get it done now, UTV.
  19. Martinez saves with his cheek, he’ll be fine but will also give us a breather. We need to wake up now
