    I think we beat these if we get our attack firing. We have to take our chances early on and we can control the game more then. Signs are promising after that United game, the link up play was there and we looked dangerous. We’ve got to score first though so I hope we get in to them quickly. Ramsey looks like he’s getting back to form, and with Pau and Digne hopefully available it gives us some options there. We’ve just got to protect our RCB/Right side. I think we’ll win 1-2.

    It’s exciting to see him get his chance, I hope he takes it and does well. It will give us something a bit different as well which should make us a touch less predictable. Also my name is also Tim, so it will be nice to not have a rocket polisher as the last well known Tim to represent Villa.

    Same as at the start of the season, I’ll be happy if we can qualify for Europe again. Whatever the competition. Obviously be a bit disappointed if don’t make champions league, especially as it looks likely fifth gets it this time. But Europa League would still be good, it’s about step up and consecutive European qualifications. It certainly wouldn’t be a ‘failure’. But there’s no time for consolatory thoughts, we can still very much make 4th or 5th, and a few wins will make all the difference to feelings around the place.

    Great to see Tyrone making his way back to fitness, although the ‘news’ was just a picture of him in his training gear (that Romano jumped on and added his own statement of obviousness, of course he’s hopeful of being fit as soon as possible!). The thought of having Mings back to reinforce and lead us through the last month of our campaign is a good one. He could just make all the difference.

    We need more balls over the top for Bailey, Watkins and JJ to run onto. Maguire and Onana have shit themselves and cleared into touch most often. They don’t like it and we should exploit it.

    My only criticism of our team is we need to be more clinical in the final third. I’d also like to see a bit more creativity from Dougie.

    We are playing well. We’re fighting for it and have been the better team in my opinion. Manure were fortunate to get a free kick that wasn’t a foul that lead to a corner. Since then we’ve been unlucky not to have drawn level. If we keep this up then we’ll get back into it. Manure don’t like it direct so we need to break quickly and put pressure on Onana and the two CBs. I’m glad the crowd have stuck with them, sounds like a good atmosphere. The referee is a disgrace.
