  1. I've given my wife a bit of insecurity about her accent. She's from Wiltshire and we moved to West Mids about 2 years ago. She's actually not got that much of a West Country accent but every time she says Raspberry I can't help but rip the pass. She wanted a raspberry drink yesterday but didn't order it she was paranoid of how she sounds, Oops.
  2. He was beaten a little with the first mention of Augustinsson.
  3. Went in the fridge Intending to pull out a bottle of lager without really looking. It was only when pouring it, I noticed I pulled out this by mistake, which i bought the other day. Not quite as refreshing as what I was intending but quite like it.
  4. It's scary the amount of people on social media blindly still supporting Johnson. Whatever their support for conservatives and Johnson himself, the time has come to withdraw that support. I'm not surprised he's holding out and considering calling an election, with enough wankstains to actually vote for conservatives in a general election, there would be more support for him than there should be.
  5. My daughter really struggled with dog. She is 5 next week. It's only since starting school in September that we've got her to stop saying Gog and Gonkey. Although think it turned into a bit of a game because it was quite funny and endearing to start with. We would get her saying D D D D D then when prompted to say dog she'd still go Gog.
  6. We got a new(ish) car on Friday. Nothing exciting, an MG HS. 5 days and someone has already banged into one of the doors, 5 days!! We've been careful where we parked being a new car, so not sure if it was a car door or something like a kid on a bike/scooter.
  7. Likewise, thought I'd give Dave a chance to try them before commenting but I don't like it. The double hazy I don't mind at all but Hazy Jane is unpleasant tasting. Also had Brewdogs collaboration with Buxton brewery yesterday. That was a bit meh too.
  8. Had an email today about Honest Brew stopping business/going into administration. I had about £30 in my account so had a look the other night to place an order and thought their selection was very limited, so that explains that. In a rare visit to Tesco this evening and they had a few I've not had before plus the Vocation one* that I quite like.
  9. The Texaco by me is excelling itself this week 197.9 for unleaded with a Sainsburys local station 50m down the road is 174.9. As you can imagine it is pretty empty on the forecourt.
  10. I was scammed selling some tickets rather than buying. In hindsight made some glaring mistakes but I just didn't have my guard up that I would have had I been trying to buy some. Just annoying as there was no way of getting anything back (I think) unlike if I was scammed buying. Annoyed myself massively and never actually told anyone until now out of embarrassment. You live and learn.
  11. There's a station near me that is so erratic with its prices. Currently it's unleaded is 191.9 and Diesel 189.9 The other 2 on the same road are 173.9 and think diesel is about 187.9. There has been times where its been cheaper than the other 2. There can't be many places where it is more expensive for unleaded than diesel.
  12. In typical social media fashion it ranges from we're doomed Gerrard will fail without him, to we were awful last season, good riddance. My take is he obviously has great value to Gerrard but he's also not unreplaceable and infact it could be a positive. Number 2's are so often put in so high esteem and this manager and that one will be lost without them, sometimes it does appear to have an affect but often doesn't.
  13. I think shaving off is the best way to go, so much better than having a patch that becomes more and more obvious. Just own it and it as it gets bigger it will be less noticeable than if the hair was longer. My experience was a bit different though as it was alopecia. I went to get my hair cut and when showing the back in the mirror I had a bald patch on the back of my head. My hair still covered it but a month or so later it had got a bit bigger so I just number 2'd it all over, which I'd often done previously anyway but there were more patches that weren't obvious before. That led to the razor coming out. So a full head of hair to bald in a couple of months. 40 now so was expecting to be bald by now but I was 23 at the time so bit of a shock.
  14. At the risk of straying into talk about football. I find it baffling how on social media people will argue their point of which they are absolutely certain, when in actual fact they know nothing apart from rumours. It's been Newcastle fans that have caused me to write this but could be any fans on social media including our own. It's quite funny how fans actually contradict their own too.
  15. I picked up a selection of beers from B61 brewery on Sunday. I took the wife and girls who were excited, not for the beer obviously but to meet these. So far had All decent.
  16. I believe they are actually advised not to go public. I've not met them but friends of the in laws won the lottery a while back and they said they they were generally advised not to, but chose to go public anyway resulting in lots of begging letters etc. I'm not sure what the motivation is to go public. I guess it's to bask in their 5 mins of fame or like you say, feel its easier than making an effort to keep it discrete. Whether this is still the same advice I'm not sure and whether it would be the same for them with it being so much.
  17. Bit late to the bee talk but there's a community app that I go on now and again as its useful to sell/give away something or find recommended tradesman etc. It's usually full of lost cat posts. The other week there was one asking if anyone had lost a swarm of bees! Which at the time I found amusing. Anyway apparently a local beekeeper came and got the queen as supposedly this makes them go back to where they came from or go off elsewhere (can't remember which)
  18. I think on the face of it he is less suited to playing on his own upfront than Watkins but I don't think this is down to work rate. I also think he can play on his own up front it's just when he has, we've been guilty of not getting the supporting players close enough to him. We can't play exactly the same way as when it is Watkins upfront.
  19. Picked up a ticket yesterday. Moved back to the Midlands August 2020 but life has meant this is my first game at Villa Park since I've been back. Partly down to no crowds allowed, but I went more when I lived 100 miles away. Looking forward to it!
  20. Must have been something in the air in the shires yesterday as my Mrs had a wazzock driving a Cupra on her journey.
  21. House prices are still doing silly things. A neighbours of my parents sold for £280k before Christmas. It fell through and they took it off the market. It went back for sale recently and sold for £350k to a cash buyer.
  22. We had the same from Halifax.
  23. Approaching a year since we rescued our Shar Pei. She is well and truly settled in now. Originally she wasn't allowed on the furniture. Then she got a blanket and her own spot on the sofa And now, she will try and sit/sleep wherever she likes. This evening after putting the youngest to bed I found her on my chair.
  24. Some nostalgia and bit of a mini album, but one that always takes me back to being about 15.
