  1. Funnily enough this came up almost exactly when you posted this when the person I sit next to said tong and I started to have the same conversation with her. Definitely tung.
  2. I don’t get how sticking a bag on your head that held objects collectively handled by hundreds of people is going to help.
  3. I only elongated the vowels in the first place to fit in with fellow Villa fans. Do you rhyme tooth with woof when saying it on its’ own too? I accept garaaage (over garridge) makes you sound a rocket polisher but Bath, grass etc I say in a way you might find objectionable too.
  4. Also find it annoying when people say toothpaste in a way the vowel sounds rhymes with woof.
  5. Bristol City fans incoming in 3...2...1...
  6. My housemate works in the Deloitte office that has had a confirmed case and the advice they have been given is baffling. She was told there is no risk of her catching it because the guy is in a different team on the opposite side of the floor. Ignoring the fact it’s ridiculous anyway to think a virus respects department boundaries, they also share lifts, a kitchen, a gym, meeting rooms a canteen and coffee shop. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised a guy keeps coming into work with Coronavirus at a company that fosters such a culture of fear around not being seen at your desk long enough and taking sick days.
  7. Don’t know why I bother, but they mention the shite defending in literally the second sentence.
  8. Is it Claret and Blue specs to suggest we’re easier to play against than Man City?
  9. So you want them to ring him up and apologise for posts on VT that suggested he's soft as shite? I'm not sure that's a good idea because, unlikely as it seems, there's a chance he doesn't know those posts exist and it might upset him.
  10. And the commentator justifies it by saying you can't look at corners on VAR because "once you start you can't stop". Think that would have taken less time to review than for the teams to set for the corner
  11. I’d probably wait for Mike Pence to release his action plan.
  12. Are we 100% sure it wasn’t them misunderstanding the term ‘viral marketing’ and now hiding as it has all gone tits up?
  13. By the time this is all over they might be able to put the female pension age back up and reduce the NHS’ required funding after all.
  14. At the start of his career maybe. It has been a long time since Tarantino would be **** if Weinstein turned on him. He’d be able to secure funding in no time even if he had to go outside of the Hollywood cliques.

It’s so handy we drag the same arguments into every **** thread so we don’t have to waste time reading them all.
  16. The clear and obvious rule needs changing too. They need to do it like rugby so the ref makes a decision and then asks the VAR guy “is there a reason I shouldn’t give a penalty” As opposed to leaving the full decision making process to them. The ref/linesman definitely would have had a view in Lo Celso and I bet if he’d asked whether there was any reason not to give a red the decision would not have been the same.
  17. Well this just made me snort embarrassingly loudly in the office.
  18. Yeah I know you don’t think he’s shit, just overrated which is fair enough even if I disagree.
  19. Tbf he thinks Grealish is overrated too so it’s a consistent opinion!
  20. You need to try and not take it so personally. It’s just someone else’s opinion that it might be a symptom of a problem.
  21. I feel like I’m missing something. What does this even mean? It’s hardly like he’ll be in a similar situation to Schumacher after his accident and the family are wanting privacy. If he was concussed/blinded/paralysed I see no possible way that saying “he has x injury” would cause any issues because of ‘sensitivities’.
  22. I’d never thought of this but seems an easy to implement sensible suggestion.
  23. If we’re losing Jack anyway I’d be happy with cash and Foden. Doubt we could convince him to move to us though.
  24. First half of the post I thought it was a parody.
  25. Agree with most of this although I only think Wilder agreed to a fight with Fury because he thought he'd batter him in his comeback and still be on to a really good earner. It's not like he has a record of agreeing to challenging fights. I do think Hearn has made AJ a bit cautious but he's fought every half decent heavyweight in the division* without ducking barring Wilder and Fury. *awaiting correction.
