    Jhon Durán

Amazed the foul got given to Sheff United after his incident. Clear foul on him first. Surprised he didn't get a red though. Unintentional, but I'd have put money on a VAR making him walk. I'm not sure how Emery will react to seeing him lose his head like that. After Brentford, I imagine there's been a lot of talk about being calm and collected...for Duran to do that may have put him in the bad books. I doubt Emery has a lot of time for people who don't listen.
  2. Oh definitely. Keepers always get this type of stuff. Ordinarily, I'd be annoyed at Ramsey because he's stopped us scoring by not being cute enough a couple of times now.
  3. I keep hearing a lot of worry about not being able to break down a low block. We haven't been held by a low block all season. Teams will recognise us as a serious team and set up to stop us. That's the idea of their low block. But even last night we had some really good chances to score. Off the top of my head I can think of: Zaniolo's actual goal. A goal that was wrongly chalked off. Moreno free header similar to his goal at Brentford. Konsa header at the back post from a corner. A handball penalty not given A header for Watkins that was prevented by another penalty from a push in the back and a shirt pull. The idea of a low block is to stop chances and prevent clear cut runs on behind...yet we still had more than enough to claim a goal or two, if not more. If we get the penalty after 11 mins (and score) or the goal isn't disallowed, then we win that match comfortably in a fairly routine win.
  4. I don't even think it matters what he was doing to keeper. If they were reviewing that incident they should have seen his shirt being pulled off his back and given a penalty It shouldn't even have got to 'phases of play' because it's just a clear foul on our player before he even engages with the keeper.
  5. I would have said that Sheff Utd at home was a totally logical choice to get 90 mins into a player returning from injury.
  6. Careful, otherwise this guy will think Lee Hendrie has got him another Christmas present...
  7. Ref: "Any possible foul on the keeper from angle 1?" VAR: "Sorry, can't see it. The defender pulling Ramsey's shirt off his back is blocking the view." Ref: "What about angle 2?" VAR: "Nope, Ramsey's arms are being held down by his shirt being pulled so we can't see his hand" Ref: "What about angle 3?" VAR: "Ah, there it is." Ref: "Great, I'll disallow the goal." VAR: "Want to check if it was a different phase?" Ref: "Nah, it'll be alright."
  8. I imagine that if the original news a few years ago was "we're going to spend a lot to improve the facilities and concourses around the ground, as well as add a superstore and entertainment venue for 3000 fans" then we'd all be pretty happy. We've all been tempted in by the idea of a shiny new stand and it now feels a disappointment to scale it back. However, the improvements across the whole ground are overdue and will be very welcomed.
  9. If the colour scheme is a sign of things to come with the badge then we can be pretty happy with that. Not sure why the final design of this marque would have both the club and the significant milestone so difficult to make out. The font is actually quite good at being a modern/heritage hybrid, but the layering of the letters and the stupid 150 as one splurge make it incomprehensible.

    Matty Cash

Cash just has to think too much....and I'm not sure he has the ability to do it quickly either.
  11. I will never find farts unfunny. There is no situation where I wouldn't laugh. Also, basic pictures of penises in steam or snow etc. At school, there was a renowned 'Jappa king' who would draw said penises around the school with a crown above. No one knew who it was - could've even been a teacher - but it would be greeted with Santa-like cheers of "he's been, he's been!" when one was spotted on the board. Joyous.
  12. We all feel like this about it though, don't we?!
  13. So was the ref in the Sheff Utd game in mid-week. If they were both playing against the same team and both had a ruck of dubious decisions, that would look suspicious....oh wait.
  14. For the penalty, Wright said it was and Jenas said it wasn't...then they summarised it as "seen them given as the bar for contact is so low these days." Seems a fair comment and I agree with them. Indeed, Palace got one for the same thing today. For the handball, they said "correct decision but silly rule." I can mostly agree with that. Bournemouth's disallowed goal today for the same thing highlights that.
  15. Jordan Ayew was absolutely screwed over today in the Plop match. Neither incident a yellow.
  16. Actually wasn't a bad review of the main decisions in our game. About right.
  17. See if they give the same review of the Arsenal handball and the disallowed fourth Bournemouth goal...
  18. Genuinely could've been battered today. 3-0. Solanke also hit the post. Two disallowed goals from pure luck rather than any judgement. Club captain strops around on the pitch to show his distain for the effort/performance...ironically putting more effort into that rather than his work in the match. Clown club.
  19. I am surprised that it wasn't given. Not that it's a clean cut pen, but just because refs always seem to find a reason to give these types of teams a pen.
  20. Part of the BBC report... "Villa defended with discipline and intensity, ultimately benefitting from a late VAR call to stay third, one point off Arsenal in second place..." BS. It was rightly handball that the ref gave in real time. The only thing we 'ultimately benefitted' from was the ref making the correct decision. They just can't help but choose phrasing that takes away from what we do each game. Whoppers.
  21. "So, when the ball comes into feet, you just stick it out like this and it rolls the player every time?"
  22. O'Neill is a bit of a Ms Doubtfire tribute act nowadays.
  23. Huge shirt pull and a handball before Bournemouth broke for Solanke's close effort. VAR not interested. Why would they be?
  24. I'm always of the opinion we should always look for the easiest draw possible...so someone like Stevenage at home would be great
  25. Don't know why it isn't used for correct corners etc anyway. Would take seconds.
