    I think his main selection problem is we have 4 players (who expect to start) for 2/3 starting roles. We can either play with both Buendia & Coutinho but then we can only go with one striker (Watkins or Ings) & if we go with 2 up top, then only one of EMI or Phil can start.

    I know he's only really played for one year at league one level, but I want us to look at Callum Doyle. He does play for Man City, but he's just looked so impressive every time I've seen him play. Left footed center back

    McGinn all day. His only advantage over Dougie is the influence in the squad (and who knows how much that impacts). Dougie is younger, looks way more comfortable with the ball at feet, imo has a much higher potential, & I just don’t rate McGinn compared to Dougie

    There’s a difference in leaving your boyhood club for the reigning PL champs & leaving your boyhood club for their biggest / most fierce rival we signed Iroegbunam, Swinkles, Feeney, Kerr Smith, Bogarde, Lindsey, Chrisine etc. that all have a defensive side in their game for our academy

    Length of contract affects amortization iirc so a longer contract helps us short term with FFP

    not really sure what you mean here. Rice joined the West Ham academy at 14 after being released by Chelsea. No clue why you use Bellingham as there’s no chance sha would’ve sold him to us & no chance he’d want to come to us as a boyhood sha fan.

    if we sign him, that's where for me the questions start for recruitment. We have Buendia, Traore, Coutinho on loan, Carney, Ashley Young, (& I'll throw out Ghazi & Trez because they did play for us this season) who have all played in the position where Lingard plays. Especially with the wages he wants & when we have been public about wanting to recruit Coutinho on a permanent transfer. Where would Lingard fit in? Especially if we play with 2 up top

    I think this is a top post. I really noticed that McGinn & Luiz were not as attacking as Ramsey is usually, and I think that allowed for Buendia to have more freedom. (oh and JR & Ramsey are the same person)

    he's been good coming off the bench, but now it's clear that he's seizing his chance from the starting lineup. He's been quite on form and looks dangerous every time we break.
