  1. Not sure improving the station will help transport issues that much, unless there are extra trains and I thought the bottleneck with that was New Street?
  2. Okay, a wreck is hyperbole. But to play into your 30s at the top level you need to take pretty good care of yourself. Knock 10% off his sharpness and performances and he'd just be someone dialling it in for big wages. If we're going to have older players I want them to be consummate professionals. Obviously this could just be his one big pissup for a near unprecedented feat, but stick it with the other pissups we've seen, the drink-driving and the knowledge that to do a session that long you pretty much have to be on the beak, and I'd put money on him not having a particularly long career at the top.
  3. This is why I don't get it when people think we might take him back in a couple of years. He'll be a wreck by then. Not having him back just for one last sentimental payday thanks.
  4. Because during the Lambert years we never sold out, and I recall plenty of sub 30k games those years.
  5. "We" invented the game, invented league football and have a historic pyramid right to grass roots. We didn't buy football. You should know that being a villa fan.
  6. Money talks, I imagine the footballers they're signing will be allowed to touch whoever they want without repercussions. After all, they're just women out there, mere possessions.
  7. Exactly. Why can't countries like this create something of their own instead of just buying it. Armpit of the world.
  8. Surprised. Expected him to stay if we got conference league. Shame.
  9. He's only a babby for a keeper, reckon he's got potential to learn from the best. Some good experience for his age.
  10. First thing we need to look for now we have Europe is a competent second keeper. We should be able to offer some decent cup minutes so be able to get someone half decent. I dont know if he'd come to be second choice but I'd be making an offer for the Leeds keeper as a young understudy to play in the cups.
  11. Mings is one of the barometers I use when talking to someone about football. If you get the 'lol Mings is shit' then you know you're talking to someone who doesn't watch or have a clue about football and gets all their knowledge from **** Instagram and tiktok rocket polishers.
  12. Who cares. Even their own fans probably don't care. Kick the **** out of the league.
  13. But other teams seem to follow the rules (which already favour the rich teams). Man City don't, hence the investigation. If it's true they've been cooking the books, every trophy they have cheated to win needs removing, and they need a lengthy ban from the premier league.
  14. Same, just glad to see someone that hasn't been in the top flight for ages, I was hoping for a Cov Luton final. I know they hate us, but I really don't care about them. They're in the same boat as Leicester to me - can hate us all they want, but I don't care enough about them to reciprocate.
  15. I've seen absolutely nothing from the bloke that suggests he'd be worth a place in this squad, especially if we bolster midfield in the summer. Plus he's had a year of doing absolutely **** all. No idea why we'd want to entertain the idea. If he really does want to make a career for himself he needs to drop down to Championship level and prove he's a good player. There are thousands of promising young players that end up either making a career at a lower level or just plummeting through the levels entirely. Haven't seen anything to suggest that's not the case here.
  16. I don't think questions need to be raised, we all know what happened and why, as do fans of most other clubs. There are just no consequences.
  17. I haven't sat down in the holte once since we came back up to the premier League so don't think that's much of an indicator. It was as noisy as it's ever been at times today though.
  18. In fairness it took them a good five minutes to spot what was officially a "clear and obvious error"
  19. It's going to be tought to get Europe now, and I think top 6 is going to be a bit too much of an ask. But to even be in the conversation after the start we had under He Who Shall Not Be Named is amazing. I really want Europe, I'd be delighted with the conference. I think conference instead of Europa could be good for us, there;ll be easier games, gives us a hance to see what some of the squad players and youngsters are made o f, and gives us a really decent chance at winning a trophy. But if we finish outside of the European places, I'll be looking on the bright side of us having fewer games next season, and a proper pre season with a proper manager, and seeing what we can do
  20. I get the use of xG, xGa and xAss, but xPoints is a stretch too far since the pattern of the game would vary so much based on the actual goals vs expected goals.
  21. Pitch looks an absolute state. Wouldn't be surprised to see a bad injury here. High line hasn't worked at all. Be surprised if we play the same way second half.
  22. How many PL goals is he on now? I'll be glad when he's our top PL era scorer and we can get that knobhead Agbonlahor off top spot.
  23. There are the examples of players in an offside position, in view of the keeper but not playing the ball being given/not being given as offside depending on what team is playing though. See McGinn's goal against Arsenal vs Arsenal's third against us this season. There was one the other week too which unsurprisingly went in favour of the 'big' team, when you can guarantee if the shirts were switched a different decision would be given.
