  1. Weird match, weird atmosphere. Shame not many people there at the end but it was a dead rubber from the start. Kids played well, MotM to the Hibs fans.
  2. Anyone know if you can take an umbrella into villa park? Walking from star city and can't be arsed standing there soaked all night.
  3. In fairness Samba covered us up front too under Bruce
  4. 25! Amazing how long we've kept hold of someone absolutely nowhere near the first team, and if his rumoured wages are correct (which I don't believe) we've done some absolutely terrible business on this fella. Wish him all the best, he'll be useful to the right championship side, but no way he should still be here at 25.
  5. I'm the same as you mate, the people I go with bought their tickets off plan before the stand was even built, and I've been there for longer than I care to think. If I was moved or inconvenienced at a cost, I'm done. And yes, there's 19,000 people in the list behind me who'll snap it up. But let's see how many of them there are when the bad times inevitably come and we're circling the drain or in the Championship. I can remember the Lambert days when we had loads of sub-30k matches - there were years when I couldn't even give my ticket away when I couldn't make a match. Disregard the fans who've been through thick and thin at your peril, or you'll end up with Blues crowds when things go south.
  6. I'm no fan of Olsen and have been praying we sign a stronger second keeper for the cups, but I'd also play him in this. If he plays okay then it'll help his confidence and that of the defence, which seems to be his main issue. And if he does mess up and cost us a goal, this isn't a tie that should be decided by one or two goals. We should be comfortably winning both ties even no matter what Olsen does.
  7. I completely agree with you, but I imagine the club will see it as '30k on the waiting list, if you don't pay it someone else will'. See ticket prices the last two years, the removal of facilities for most upper Holte users, and the complete lack of care when it comes to basics like non-flooded urinals, not bothering to clean up bird shit. We're a revenue source, and if you or I don't renew then they have a big list of people who will and who won't complain.
  8. Extra £500 if you want basic sanitation I'm afraid.
  9. This is just it to me. A few years back when it was more like half the price I was willing to put up with it. But now, I'm paying a premium price and it's not on that I have to get splashed with 100 other blokes' piss that hasn't drained from the urinals. And that's after queuing up for five minutes in a smoky stinky toilet. Obviously it's not beyond our ability to build half-decent facilities, but our £700 isn't enough to have a splash-free piss. Extra £500 if you want dry legs.
  10. Definitely. After the booking he did the jump up and make the bar shake thing, which is a booking these days. Don't know if we'll ever see the day a ref has the stones to make two quick bookings to a keeper like that though. I'd argue he should have been booked for the challenge too since he stopped Watkins from nodding it in.
  11. It looks nice. So the club can provide decent facilities for the fans if they want to then. They just choose not to for our £700-800, obviously have to pay twice that if you have the audacity to want to piss or have a pint. As a Lower Holter, I've always been jealous of the upper's two concourses, far more space up there than the lower. Seems like 5/6ths of them are in the same boat as us now, with half the facilities they used to have. Was a nice touch in the lower Holte today that they'd put some sort of filter over the drains on the urinals so they were three inches deep in piss. A lovely experience when wearing shorts, real premium pissy legs feel for the ticket price
  12. Thanks for your expert insight about what the injury was and how it should be handled. Assume you are a doctor of some description? I should write to the club with the benefit of your expert opinion about what our top quality highly trained medical team are doing wrong. I'm sure they'll appreciate your input and allow the current staff to apply for clowning roles at Zippos.

    Matty Cash

Me too. He's not the best right back in the world, and could definitely use some competition but it's almost like Bailey got a goal and assist so he's Scapegoat Of The Week this week instead.
  14. I'd be tempted to give Duran a start to see what he can do in 90 mins with the regular first-teamers.
  15. That was weird. Like playing a lower league team in a friendly and you just expect to win comfortably. Fairly flat atmosphere, as I think it was just so easy. Absolutely flabbergasted at how bad everton were. Maybe that shows how well we played, but conceding two goals from throw-ins like that was weird. Great to see some 'fringe' players get a decent run out. Great to see Duran score, read a poor throw in, took a terrible touch then an excellent finish. Weird but I'll take it. Bad stuff: Watkins has had an iffy start to the season, and yet another bad injury. We'll be playing the u18s and the ladies team by May at this rate. I don't like the extra 15 minutes with the injury time. It's a long time to stand, and I reckon it'll cause injuries to mount. Neither team could be bothered to play that additional nine minutes in the second half.
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool come in for him, he'd do very well there I'm sure. However, we do know how much cash they have available, and I'd be informing them that any offers below £110m will be immediately filed into the recycling.
  17. If I was going to buy a shirt, I'd buy the training top. Looks better than the kit, cheaper, and no stupid logos all over it.
  18. Write the theme tune, sing the theme tune
  19. You'd like the think the amount of coins chucked at him would cover his wages.
  20. The taking caps off bottles of pop thing always struck me as stupid - I've never bought a bottle of pop in the ground, but if it's something you do often, is it worth just taking a spare bottle top with you from home into the ground? Then you can just stick it on, as I guess they're the same bottles you'd get in the shop.
