Just a note to say that http://www.travelfish.org is your friend when looking at booking hotels in SE Asia, caters for all budgets too.

Don Mueang is the old airport, since they opened Suvarnabhumi it's been relegated to the airport hosting the budget airlines. From my limited experience the traffic can be a little worse going to Don Mueang so depending on the flight time it might be worth bearing that in mind.

That's fair enough, but I think to save £100 I'll take the extra 2 hours travel. Yeah for me it's definitely worth saving the money, especially if you can find an early flight. Just bear in mind the flight will be from Don Mueang Airport rather than Suvarnabhumi.

Air Asia do Bangkok to Surat Thani too, usually V cheap. Buy a bus and ferry ticket when you arrive in Surat Thani. We stayed in Mae Nam which is quiet but I personally preferred it that way. I've been to SE Asia quite a lot in low season, I prefer it at that time, it's quieter and cheaper. Samui and Pha Ngan don't get affected too much by the weather and even in the west it's usually only an occasionally thunderstorm followed by good weather.
  5. Not in my first hand experience That's fair enough, but it's not everyone's experience. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/we-buy-any-car-for-less-211015 Anyway if you're not particularly going out of your way then it's worth at least going and seeing them, just be prepared for them to try and knock some money off what they originally quote you.
  6. Heard a lot of stories of them offering an amount online then finding 'issues' with the car when they inspect it to bring the price down and then them attempting to pressure you into the lower offer.
  7. we need 12 points from 12 games, easily doable. Realistically more likely 9 I'd imagine.
  8. He is banned, regardless of their legal shenanigans.
  9. Think it's time for a name change for this topic.
  10. He's been given the Holman role of pressing high up the pitch. He might not be the greatest but we seem to play a hell of a lot better when we have someone from midfield closing down the opposition.
  11. I agree. He's an athlete which makes up his deficiencies more often than not. If he can improve his technical side and he's allowed a bit of continuity in playing in one position rather than being shifted around all the time then we might have a very decent player on our hands.
  12. To be fair at least 45 pages of that were people making fat jokes.
  13. Well I'm glad somebody has. What channel that on? It's a podcast.http://www.thefootballramble.com/show
  14. Best advice is ignore everything Shearer says, pretty much the worst pundit out there. I'm not sure why TV execs have an obsession with employing ex players as pundits and commentators, Neville aside they are generally pretty poor and only seem to point out the obvious and Shearer is the absolute worst for it.
  15. Houllier's rules only applied to players he didn't sign. I seem to remember Pires being chauffeured from London to training on a daily basis.
  16. The guy is an absolute monster. A few people should be embarrassed writing him off after an injury plagued season.
  17. From another angle. What a ball from Lowton.
  18. Richard's talk of a BIG signing suddenly makes such depressing sense...
  19. Arsenal's tactics should be pretty simple tonight. Put Giroud on Lowton and reap the immediate benefits.
  20. Scored an absolute screamer for Leamington yesterday

My aim is to complete the Great Birmingham Run and once I have done that I will be hanging up my running shoes for good.
