Just on the Antony thing, leaving out whether it's disrespectful or not, from a purely practical point of view it's incredibly stupid as he's now probably scuppered one of his few potential moves he's got this summer as Coventry won't buy him now.

18 shots to 1 at half time. United may have been knocked out of Europe but West Ham are carrying on the legacy.

You get coefficient points for a draw and tonight England got 2 draws and Germany only got 1.
-
Well we also play 4 out of the 7 teams they play against. The other 3 are Newcastle, who could easily beat them and 2 teams who are in a relegation fight.

The RJW63 Official Jack Grealish Appreciation Thread
djdabush replied to kevangrealish's topic in Other Football
On the international broadcast Lee Dixon was pretty much constantly criticising him, particularly for not moving the ball with pace. -
Played better than I expected. Thought several players acquitted themselves well. I just hope we can look back at it on Saturday and think it was worth making those changes.

You've gone and done it now. Hat-trick midweek incoming.

Can't comprehend that at all. Not his excellent performance, but the fact that he didn't get booked or get into some kind of confrontation at any point.

From what I've heard, this may well have been an ongoing issue for quite some time.

Whenever I see someone post a tweet from this account I just assume it's an ACL nowadays.

Going forward good, but defensively suspect. He particularly struggled once they changed their shape. Its a worry that both him and Moreno look better going forward than they do defending the goal. I do remember criticising Ramsey for the same thing a few years ago and he's vastly improved that aspect of his game. I'm sure Emery will be all over it but for now I'd much prefer to see him in play as a striker or in the Tielemans role to negate any defensive frailties.

I do wonder how much people are willing to believe just because they don't like Chris Heck. If it is true then there will be several employment tribunals surfacing soon. I'll reserve judgement until we have more evidence than an anonymous twitter post though.

The best case scenario is that we can play Torres with Lenglet. Putting aside the fact that they are both left footers, we will really lack any sort of recovery pace with those 2. The high line should be forgotten for the next few weeks.

I'd snap your hand off for a draw right now.

Stick a couple of players on Luiz and Kamara when Martinez has the ball and we don't have a clue what to do with it. Been like this for weeks and any decent team knows to do it now.

The goal that Trossard scored today reminded me of the Brereton Diaz chance yesterday. Amazing how fans of other clubs scoff at the thought of Martinez being the best 'keeper in the world but I'm sure he would have saved that shot today.
-
I think it's more that we miss Torres. Pretty much everything that Lenglet is good at, Torres is better.

Loan with an option to buy, doesn't sound like it's an obligation.

And he still got it wrong.

My biggest question on this is how much better than Sinisalo who is also a full international and is apparently doing pretty well at League One level? Or is it a case that we think we can sign him and then sell on Sinisalo and make a little bit more FFP room?
-
Lovely to see Mee get caught sleeping for that goal.
-
Thought he did fairly well. Would like him to start next to Watkins against Chelsea. Other than that my main observation is that he could start a fight with his shadow. You can imagine some of the issues we've had behind the scenes.

If points were given out for kicking opponents then Everton would be dominating the league with a points tally to make an old firm side blush. No coincidence that both in this game and Brentford, the game has been chaotic. Coote is atrocious and completely bowed to the crowd pressure.

Annoyingly sensible. I can't say I've followed Mowbray all that much, but don't believe he's known for playing free flowing attacking football is he?
