If you go to Angkor Wat and Siem Reap then I'm not sure you'd still say its unspoilt by tourism. Cambodia is still very poor and pretty desolate in parts. Personally I didn't like it all that much. Myanmar is supposedly the place to go in the region if you want an area with very little tourism. I'm a bit wary though as you don't know where your money is going.
  2. Just being cheeky to be fair.

Glad you enjoyed it and the best news is there's loads of amazing places that you didn't go to so there's a perfect excuse to go back. As for the lizard sounds like the one we had in Phi Phi living in our roof. Its was a giant gecko and seen if you have one living with you they regard you as lucky as they eat pests such as rodents.
  4. I'd definitely let his contract expire. It's not that I don't trust Lambert, after all, when he's had a decent amount of money to spend he's usually spent it wisely. It's more that you're not going to find too many players of his quality for that kind of money so we'd be risking a lot letting him go. I'd rather gamble that we'll be sold by next summer and if he does go on a free we'll be able to adequately replace. Of course this is probably academic as if I was in Vlaar's position and an offer came in from someone like united, I'd make sure the deal went through. This is probably his last big move so I'm sure he wants to make the most of the fact he'll probably never be in greater demand.
  5. who did? Romero. Yep, seriously.
  6. To be honest I can see why Ron had a great game tonight, his semi final league cup defeat against Bradford would have prepared him for the pressure of a world cup semi. Back to the big time now, Ron.
  7. Apparently Van Gaal asked 2 players to take the first penalty- who presumably refused- before Vlaar. Quote from Vlaar: 'I would never walk away from my responsibility. I wasn't nervous, I was focussed. But it must go in and it didn't'
  8. I'm not sure if this is true but I'm sure I read somewhere that Cillessen has never saved a penalty
  9. With his age and 12 months left I can't see us getting more than 6 or 7 million for him. To be fair that alone will pretty much triple the budget.
  10. Robben's barely made an impact in the game so far. I get the impression to win the dutch need to invite a bit more pressure on to themselves and then to break quickly.
  11. You're probably right but it's still unbelievable that PSG offered it. If I had £50m to spend, I certainly wouldn't be spending it all on Luiz. I bet Chelsea couldn't believe their luck when the offer was tabled.
  12. I lost count of the times I noticed he was completely out of position, several times he ended up on the wing when Germany had the ball. He has no discipline which is presumably what made Mourinho get rid. That and the £50m that PSG hilariously offered.
  13. I have an account with Santander which allows free withdrawals anywhere abroad, they've sadly withdrawn the account though. There's still a couple of accounts you can use though like this one http://www.nandp.co.uk/current-account/gold-classic-current-account/ but you need to pay in £500 a month.
  14. Of course, the same applies to Bendtner though and the same stat was used to slate him.
  15. I find it quite hilarious the same people who declare Darren Bent to be shite based on one season at Fulham are the same who say that they won't judge Senderos by his time at Fulham (or anywhere else). It's not just one season though is it? He's scored 15 goals in the last 3 premier league seasons at less than a rate of 1 in 4. He's not scored consistently in years and doesn't bring anything to games except goals so it's not a huge surprise people don't think he's worth the wages he's on and think they could be better spent elsewhere. As for Bendtner, I don't think that many think he's a great signing but there's no doubt he is a big talent let down by his attitude. Some people are hoping that Villa might be an environment where his ego wouldn't be allowed to be so massive and he might just get his head down. Who knows? He may well not but when there's not much to be hopeful about at Villa then it's not a surprise that people are clinging onto something.
  16. I didn't see much of that when I went there. I would say, however that the trains and subway get ridiculously crowded, especially in peak times. Shinjuku, Harajuku etc are particularly bad.
  17. Yeah, particularly Murphy. I'm pretty sure he shouted 'no' when it looked like Sneijder was going to score from that free kick. Similarly it was certain penalty against Vlaar with minimal contact, yet they'd spent the last few days criticising Robben for making the most of the contact against Mexico.
  18. The thing is even if we were to offer him a new contract now, the fact that he's had a good world cup and potentially will have some clubs interested in him means that I'd imagine we would need to offer him more in terms of wages than if we'd offered him a new contract several months ago. Just another example of the hierarchy at our club having no forethought.
  19. Yeah and he still didn't concede that amount either last season or the season before. I'm not sure everything around Caulker was shit though, Marshall had a great season. If there's a reason they didn't concede more goals last season I'd say it was him rather than Caulker.
  20. I honestly think Ferdinand's legs are gone. I'm really not sure he's that great a signing. As for Caulker, he's good but he was part of a defence that conceded 74 goals last season.
  21. I see that the Sky Sports subscription is going up by £2.50 a month in September. Interesting definition of 'free' there.
  22. Also worth pointing out that when I was travelling back from Bangkok when I flew with Emirates they didn't have any seats together for us but eventually found some on the very front row. The room on a A380 on that row is crazy so definitely worth trying to get those seats if you can.
  23. It's possible but unlikely. They seem to pick frequent flyers and people travelling on their own. I think everyone I've known to go to Thailand has tried it in and not one has been upgraded yet. Good luck though!
  24. I fly Emirates regularly and the sports channel is a bit misleading. They have a sports section within the ICE system, but it's mainly documentaries and classic events. Within the TV section you'll find comedy, drama, 'quest', sport and music, but nothing live IIRC. Do they still take your picture in the bar of the A-380 with a polaroid camera and then frame it for you or have they stopped doing that now they have about 900 of them in their fleet ? I've never had a photo taken at the bar on the 380 . Most of my routes involve the 777 (inc. flying back to Birmingham), so I've only done 6 or 7 on the 380. Whilst I prefer the full reclining bed, I do with the massage function on the 777. Where you flying to? Bangkok. Gf claims its first class only Aye it is, it's like a exclusive nightclub when you look up to first, complete with rope and rather feminine bouncers.
  25. 2 goals? Got the crystal ball out for the Costa Rica match Tony?
