  1. Have to say i am surprised that they are going straight in to ALL Club members after season ticket holders have been satisfied. I would have thought they would have rewarded members who had been to so many games. I have been to 8 so far. Seems unfair to me that any member can get one. With the allocation of 33k it will go on sale to members, so i suppose as at least i'm a member i now have a slim chance of a ticket.
  2. i should of added no offence as not shooting the messenger.... it's just that Birmingham Live has to be one of if not the worst click baits going. It's a far cry from the pre internet days when it was The Birmingham Mail...
  3. Sorry but wrong thread old boy.... should be posted in the WAHEY! It's a JOKE thread : Enter at your own risk Birmingham Live
  4. and in the latest twist.....the searches on google have spiked unbelievable Jeff !!!!!! https://metro.co.uk/2020/01/30/people-searching-corona-beer-virus-confusing-lager-coronavirus-12150342/ More than 7,700 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across the world – but some people are still getting the deadly disease mixed up with beer. According to Google Trends, searches for the Mexican beer Corona Extra have stepped up 1,100% in the US since the outbreak first reached the country. Among the most frequent searches are the phrases ‘beer virus’ and ‘corona beer virus’. Global searches for ‘coronavirus symptoms’ also increased by 1,050% this week, while ‘what is coronavirus’ and ‘is coronavirus deadly’ also made the top five questions asked. There is no link between the coronavirus and Corona Extra beer whatsoever.
  5. West Hams remaining fixtures... 01.02 Brighton H - 09.02 Man City A - 24.02. Liverpool A - 29.02. Southampton H - 07.03 Arsenal A - 15.03. Wolves H - 20.03 Tottenham A - 04.04 Chelsea H - 11.04 Newcastle A 18.04 Burnley H - 25.04 Norwich A - 02.05 - Watford H - 09.05 Man Utd A - 17.05 Aston Villa H Tough away games at Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Man Utd. Thats as tough a set of fixtures as anybodys, particulary when you are on a bad run. Their home game this Saturday is huge for both teams. As big as the Bournemouth game is to us. The difference is though that we have momentum going in the right direction. I hope we are in a safe position by the time we play them at there place on the last day of the season. Theres an article in the Daily Mail suggesting they will be in financial meltdown should they be releagated. The SORRY state of West Ham: £45m flops failing to fire, fans revolting against owners and Moyes back in the hotseat despite previous sacking for not being good enough... West Ham have splashed £300MILLION on transfers but now they MUST stay up to avoid financial meltdown
  6. Apologies for the multi multiple quotes but its relevant to all. I've been to Anfield many times and the atmosphere there is a myth. Its the same at Old Trafford. Sky pander to the ''top 6'' and inflate the atmosphere at these grounds by turning up the mic when it suits them. Crikey you only have to see a Liverpool game and for the YNWA song at the start the commentators go quiet, camera pans around the ground and the mic volume goes up. It's a wankfest. Go to Old Trafford and theres a handful who sing. Watch the game on Sky and it sounds like the whole of the Stretford End are giving it large. I am not saying we are better or worse than anyone else just that tv companies manipulate things to suit them when it suits and in Sky's situation there is a definate bias to the top 6. I have not read a single post from anyone who said they were at the game last night saying anything other than it was electric.
  7. Unfortunatly VillaTalk do not have a vomit emoji to add to you post, otherwise i would have. So i'll have to 'quote' and do this one instead
  8. I was in the Upper Trinity last night and from where i was sitting the atmosphere was electric from all three stands. Sure there were moments of quiet, but then tell me anywhere where this is not the case. It happens. Indeed, Leciester fans in the North Stand also played there part in creating the atmosphere, but even they went quiet for periods. I posted this in the match ratings thread last night and still stand by it. "A Fantastic atmosphre from the 12th man who was not just in the Holte tonight. He was everywhere."
  9. Interesting tweet here on last nights atmosphere from Henry Winter He has a very good point. However, the FA will never allow it to happen as its a purely financial decision. The fans do not matter or come in to it !!!!
  10. Just got back... wow, that was one of those amazing Villa Park nights that make it all worth while. Absolutley buzzing. The effort from everyone in the team was there for all to see and that effort has got us the reward. A Fantastic atmosphre from the 12th man who was not just in the Holte tonight. He was everywhere. The shape of the team was so much better with a forward. We will give anyone a game at VP. Bring it on.
  11. 96 is a pretty good inning in anybodies book. Especially when he was still as sharp as a pin. I remember Sunday afternoons and the opening announcement... ''and from Norwich, it's the quiz of the week''
  12. It’s a no no from me. I just can’t have anyone connected with Villa help to improve that lot. It just goes against the grain. I hope he carries on being as shit for them as he has been for us, Sheff Utd and Stoke.
  13. Some great old pictures cropping up on Twitter. Here's one of the old Trinity Road Stand. Glorious.
  14. Just watched the cup tie against Arsenal. I'm not sure whether Bournmouth were at full strength or how many changes they may have made but i thought they were poor tonight. They have not got a lot going forward and it was only the last few mins where they attacked. Nulify Harry Wilson and If we play to our strengths and on on our game we can get 3 points from them.
  15. Bournemouth Arsenal FA Cup tie tonight. Pathetic use of VAR when checking for offside after a goal has been scored. Taking what seems to be ages using slide rule technology. Does my head in. Pathetic.
  16. Hogan would be stupid to go to the rabble. He has only played 3 games for Stoke and can't be match fit. He will need 3/4 games to get fit. (A Bit like Drinkwater for us and look how much stick he gets) If he does not hit the ground running, play well and start scoring goals from the off there fans will be all over him like a rash due to the Villa connection. He will get slaughtered. But then again footballers and stupid kind of go hand in hand. So you never know.
  17. Really???!!!! How can they afford his wages? I thought they had'nt got a pot to piss in. Wheres the money coming from?
  18. we'll have to agree to disagree on this one Enkleman was appalling, far worse then Nyland. There was a time shortly after the incidents against the rabble where we were playing at home (can't remember the opposition) and the Holte End had to shout at him that there was a player behind him as he casually strolled around with the ball in the area. He managed to pick it up in time, turn around and thank the Holte End. Comical moment for a comincal keeper.
