  1. I guess we won't know how good/crap he is until he plays. What is good about this deal is that we're getting an experienced player who's played at international level, in the champions league and serie a. He scores goal, gets assists, and all this for under 2 million quid. Tshibola was 5-6 million with 30 odd appearances in the championship. Seems a pretty safe bet for me
  2. Especially when you have to get up at some stupid hour in the week. 5am is the norm for me
  3. Oh man yes, that saturday morning feeling
  4. I think now, is not the right time to sell grealish, imo. He is, without doubt, the most naturally talented player at the club, his close control is fantastic. He's just not effective though, is he? He gets the ball and runs with it. He hasn't got the speed to take it past players so generally, he stops, looks up, and sees there is no one to pass to because the defence has regrouped. He does this all the time. He looks great on the ball but what is the end product?....very little a lot of the time. He needs to develop his game before he is worthy of a regular premier league start, and I think we should try and make sure he does that at villa.
  5. When goughy talks about cricket, he is calm, measured and insightful in his comment. A subject he obviously knows a lot about. When he talks about anything else he becomes a loud mouthed idiot who tries to sound like Geoff Boycott. As for that Durham bloke...jesus. At least Darren Gough has achieved SOMETHING in professional sport
  6. That's my view....anyone who says he still has something to offer has not watched the guy since he left west brom.
  7. Every time I think of bacuna I can't get that image out of my head from last season when he punted the ball 50 yards back towards our goal straight to a southampton(i think) player. Who in their right mind would do that? Saw brucie going mental at him v wolves aswell, bruce almost grabbed the ball and showed him hiw to pass it in field 5 yards He's got to go, surely
  8. It's this sort of attitude that sums up all that's wrong with modern day football.
  9. I noticed him quite a lot tbf...putting himself about, trying to get things going. He was certainly putting the effort in. He was still rubbish tho...he's an awful footballer.
  10. I was sat in the billy wright upper. Heard singing around kick off for Graham Taylor then that was it. Was suprising given the numbers
  11. Defender and striker ran towards the cross so really the keeper is hanging back slightly in case it takes a deflection. So he can only react once its past those 2 players, which, in my eyes gives him very little time. He gets a good, strong hand on it and bats it away. Then yes, it falls to a striker who hits it into the ground and it goes in. Really harsh to call that a mistake imo.
  12. But is that not the standard some people expect? I don't know what else he could have done with a cross fired in, fairly close to him, with a defender in the way who could have quite easily deflected the cross in for an OG? I doubt de gea would've done much better tbh
  13. As daft as calling that a mistake for their goal?
  14. We made plenty of mistakes yesterday, that wasn't one. Good luck with your search for the 'perfect' keeper....I'm guessing you will be dissapointed for a long time yet
  15. Im sorry but i must be missing something....the guy made a save from a cross where his defender ran across his sight of vision...he saw that at the very last minute....what the hell do you people expect!! Really..what did you expect...i want to know??
  16. £1.50 for under 16's
  17. I'll try but I might be on my own in the billy wright stand!
  18. Jamie Oliver having to close 6 of his restaurants. Oh, and then blaming brexit
  19. Whats stopping him saying....i want to leave because things haven't worked out as i expected....but in the mean time i will continue to give my all for the club??? Typical modern day, i want it, and i want it now, attitude. Stinks to high heaven
  20. Absolutely. Simply could not believe what i was seeing with him sometimes. I would put him at no.1 for worst player I've seen play for villa
  21. A few years ago my brother was splitting from his wife and kids and was in quite a mess emotionally. Suffering from acute anxiety brought on by the thought of not living or seeing his daughter everyday. He was really vulnerable and I was constantly worried about him and checking up on him. One day he tells me that he did a stress test off somebody who collared him walking in the centre of brum. Obviously he was off the scale. He then went to meet someone who apparently could help him. Anyway, the short story is, these people were scientologists, and part of his treatment would be counselling other people with emotional problems!!! He was also asked to make contributions toward there funds. Luckily, my brother saw all this for what it was, and he also had his family around him to steer him in the right direction. Now, people can believe in whatever they like, and if it helps them through the ups and downs of life then thats fine. What really upsets me, and makes my blood boil, is people preaching their shit to troubled souls, who, quite obviously in the case of my brother, needed a doctor, medication and professional counselling. Sorry for your loss BOF
  22. What the hell do you do that allows this level of lethargy?
  23. Up there with, 'I'm good to go'...'from the get go'...& 'let's crack on' These modern little expressions/buzz words really irritate me & they shouldn't....should they?
