I totally agree. Just because we are a big club and we were a successful one in the past, does not give us the right to be anywhere. This club has been awful for years, on and off the pitch. In my view, we were really lucky to not be relegated a lot sooner. Every time I hear the...'but we're Aston Villa' line wheeled out, I just cringe.

I understand exactly what he is saying and he has fair points.....and he is not being hysterical, no one has said he has. He has given himself that label in that particular comment to try and make a point....which is, frankly, a little silly.

Not one fan though is it. I'm not swearing at someone who cant hear me or wont read what im saying. Again I'll repeat, it's not that someone wants him gone, that's not a problem, it's the hysterical behaviour that's unnecessary. Example. 1. I think bruce is a limited manager and he's had long enough to sort it out, I want someone else in. 2. F*** o** bruce you idiot, I want him gone, not tomorrow or the weekend, I want him gone now!! Both fans want him gone, no.1 is hysterical behaviour no.2 is reasoned behaviour.

Fans wanting him out isn't the issue...it's the over the top, childish, name calling reaction of SOME fans that is hysterical, and that's the issue.

I think the big difference between RDM and bruce is that we look solid at the back now and can only get better going forward now that kodjia is back. This time last year we looked good going forward but were soft at the back with a habit of losing games at the death, which imo is a sign of a very poor side. Things are obviously not perfect but I feel a lot more positive now than 12 months ago.

I just think some fans underestimate the size of the hole we were in and are still trying to scramble out of. Bruce is far from the greatest manager of all time but I think he is what we need right now, even if we dont get promotion. If we make another change then that means another 2 windows full of new players to try and settle on top of all the other players who have barely been here 5 minutes, and then trying to implement a different style of play. I cant see any manager turning up at villa park and having an immediate effect. Yes ultimately we all just want to see them win football matches UTV

It's not the fact that fans who want him out are idiots, thats not what I'm saying. It's the over the top reaction to everything that is idiotic. Yes if you want him out...fair enough, but name calling, hoping the team lose etc is idiotic. If he's had insults hurled at him, which I imagine is highly likely, then he is well within his rights to say something back. I try and look at the big picture. We've had about 40 new players arrive at vp in a little over 2 years, we have 2 players who has been here through it all...gabby and hutton!! Thats hardly much to build on is it? Time is what is needed not more change. Yes some of the football has been awful, but bruce has the experience to get us up the league. To compare us to other clubs and managers is unrealistic. Every situation is different. We have been awful year after year for 6 years, add to that the mismanagement of everything off the pitch, you then have a huge mess to sort out. If it took 6 years to get us into that mess then its not going to be turned around in 12 months.
