Yes well he's never had to deal with the expectation and entitlement of some villa fans before. Every time he has a go back I think..'good on you steve'. Unfortunately it's the idiotic few that shout the loudest and thus appear to be speaking for the masses. Fans I actually speak to want him to stay. I hope he does and does well.

Excellent performance....he is exactly the type of striker we've been crying out for. Holds the ball up well, strong in the air, tidy feet, doesn't give the ball away easy. Think I love him

This always annoyed the hell out of me. Now that I am 'settled' and about to become a father I get the.. 'oh so this is the woman who's calmed you down' line from my extended family. What does 'settled' actually mean? I had my own house and lived alone for quite a few years and felt very settled. And as for being calmed down??....I think I used to feel calmer before tbh

I'm no expert on these things but I don't think there ever is a perfect time to have a child. My first is due in 4 weeks, I'm 44, my mrs has 2 lads, we've just moved into a bigger house and the contract I've been working on finishes in october. I've got/had real concerns and sleepless nights. I think sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and hope things work out...bit nerve wracking I know but it's what life is sometimes.

My ex used to play that one all the time. If I was drinking coke and driving she would drink coke. If she was driving I'd have a few beers and she would drink too. Ending up in a row and getting a taxi then having to pick the car up next day. If you want a drink fine, I'll drive...if not, you drive, and I'll get smashed!! Easy pops

I think this sums up my stance on things too. I've watched villa for 40 of my 44 years, and will always watch them and want them to do well. I just think that these days, with 24/7 coverage of everything football, fans are sucked into this constant analysis and criticism. This has created a 'reactionary' culture...or 'over reactionary' to be more precise. It seems that some people see it as a sign of being a better fan, the more hysterical they get. I've said it many times before, I want villa to be successful as much as anyone else....but if they're not, I will still follow them, into the conference if needs be. I will still enjoy going to watch them.

I totally agree....the level of arrogance/entitlement on here is off the scale. We are rubbish, and have been for years. We've signed nearly 40 players in 2 years....we've had 5 managers in 2 years....we've got 2 players who have remained through that, & they are rubbish. Bruce ain't great, I admit, but to change manager again will bring more upheaval. We need to stick with it, realise how bad we've been & realise it will take a long time to turn around 6 years of decline. To be calling for his head after 3 games is pathetic.

Cheapest is 4.60??? Really?? Most I've paid in brum and surrounding areas is 6 quid for stella at marcos in brum centre...that was a few years ago. Paid 8 quid for a guinness is paris. Pardoes original in netherton...2.20...and it's like nectar
