And with that award he is now he is rubbing shoulders with great players such as Stephen Ireland fair play though dougie. Has come through a lot of distractions and complications over the last couple years (man city contract, arsenal bid, public breakup with Lehman, gerrard blaming and dropping him) and continues to improve. need to get him back in Brazil squad as he deserves it. Better than guimares for me (who is also excellent)

Fair play to them may be a confirmation bias thing or me not living in England but I feel this is getting a lot less coverage than man city getting onto champions league final but for me it’s just as impressive

They always talk about football players being role models but very few deserve that moniker - glad to say that our lot certainly try to live up to it And if going big time and signing world class stars mean losing the common touch our club shows to its fans and the kids that adore them then count me out

Think it boils down to reactions ollie gets upended with a two foot tackle and his instinct is to keep playing whereas Kane drops a knee on Martinez and rolls around like his menstrual cramps have just kicked in Referees respond to this sort of thing. I like his sweeper keeper headers to the left back. Feel like that’s something that’s been worked on to compliment our high defensive line

I just hope whoever we sign can hit them from distance who was the last player we had that you had faith to hit the target and score from outside the box? Hourhane, el ghazi on a good day? it really limits us that working it to the edge of the box is pointless because we don’t have someone deadly from 20+ yds out

I reckon a fully fit coutinho in this version of Aston villa may just fit in great i still have faith in the wee guy hope he comes back fully fit and conditioned to help us out next year

Can be an exciting player given the right circumstances and I really want him to do well. Will be interesting to see if competition next year makes or breaks him because it feels like he has started a lot of games by default due to no better option
