  1. I reckon a fully fit coutinho in this version of Aston villa may just fit in great i still have faith in the wee guy hope he comes back fully fit and conditioned to help us out next year
  2. Was fitting that his og against Fulham helped to lance that particular boil from our club
  3. Would have been funnier if spurs had stuck away their multiple offside chances but they were too crappy to even do that
  4. Can be an exciting player given the right circumstances and I really want him to do well. Will be interesting to see if competition next year makes or breaks him because it feels like he has started a lot of games by default due to no better option
  5. starting to think that in order to spice this league up the champions should be required to have gerrard in charge for 10 games the following season think of it as a handicap system
  6. Well don’t blame me - I proposed a belter a few pages ago and it was unanimously dismissed
  7. He does have that certain something that great players have where it looks like he has more time on the ball than others. It makes oppo players just take a step back it also makes me much more comfortable when he is on the pitch welcome back bouba
  8. Just to clear it up and stop the debate, king unai just said in his interview that it wasn’t a penalty so we will hear no more on the matter
  9. Ah what a brilliant performance i swear mcginn was actively taking the piss most of the game. Supreme performance from probably the cheapest bought player on the pitch As for grumbles, the one that had me most irate was when mcginn and son went shoulder to shoulder after buendia getting his Achilles raked and son getting the decision. I was incensed!
  10. I want to say “that’s the joke” but you never be too sure.
  11. Wait. Is Almany negotiating with Almany for this?
  12. my god i am absolutely brainwashed by this site. I've sat here today and, through some bizarre mental gymnastics convinced myself that , actually, Villa would be a logical move for Lionel Messi and quite the realistic one at that. needs out of PSG, cant go to Barca cos they cant afford him plus "never go back", is maybe winding down a little but not so much that he wants to go to the far east considering how miserable Ronaldo appears there, not needed by City or other galactico type club, loves Emi Martinez big south american contingent at VP Alemany connection Emery speaks his language and is the greatest coach in the world in summary - definitely gonna happen
  13. i was there on the topic of our kits potentially looking like chelsea, id be just as worried about them starrting to look like man city kits given their recent propensity for introducing claret into their kits
  14. this could have been so much ruder so i appreciate you keeping it tasteful
  15. I’d advise you to stay away from Five Guys then! (The burger chain, not groups of men or boy bands)
  16. United in general have wrecked us - by getting beat by Brighton, beating us, and allowing spurs to come back for a draw. A combination of results which helped put us where we are now its no wonder I hate them
  17. Just woke up. Had a dream that coutinho played this game and completely bossed it, scoring two however he was also Scottish in his post match interview so it may not have been a 100% accurate premonition
  18. the only ever season where i had all three kits. and loved every single one
  19. Watching the bha man utd game here. Really hope we don’t need a win against Brighton last day of the season to qualify for Europe because they really are a good team
  20. Tayto Cheese and Onion Crisps (The Nordie Yellow packet ones) Will make your breath scare dogs away but oh so worth it Also make the perfect crisp sandwich between two slices of cheap white bread slathered in cheese spread
  21. So. In summary, who am I cheering for this afternoon between Liverpool and spurs ? Going to pub to watch match with a spurs fan and a Liverpool fan and need to set my stall out early!
  22. Being a bit hungover and philosophical this morning and starting to think that no matter where we end this season it has been amazing and the one thing that emery has brought us is hope, which is an incredibly powerful and addictive emotion. reflecting, over the past ten + years I have genuinely had moments of sheer hopelessness where I genuinely didn’t ever envisage villa doing anything of note ever again in a football sense. shame on the perp walk of dodgy, disinterested, tight or criminal individuals who had the temerity to be the custodians of this great club and steal hope from an entire fan base. Regardless of the ultimate destination I will be forever grateful to these owners, this manager and this group of players for giving me back some hope that all is not lost for Aston villa fc
