  1. Except that for a public figure its probably the second worst thing to be guilty of? If the Court of Appeal say he's innocent then that is what he is - but I do worry about the message such a high profile verdict will be interpreted by the hordes of mindless idiots who seem to equate "being too drunk to consent" with "she didn't say no"
  2. Ched Evans right to appeal granted Ched Evans' rape conviction goes to appeal court Utterly depressing tbh. If he's innocent then fair enough - but I worry the impact an aquittal will have on other women who are too drunk to consent and then don't receive justice on the basis of some "Ched Evans defence" case law.
  3. The biggest crime for me is that the current European Player of the Year and his predecessor can't get a game. Its utterly criminal and so short sighted by the RFU.
  4. I said on Twitter over the weekend - we are currently in danger of failing to secure enough points for a driving ban let alone a Premier League berth next season.
  5. Nonsense. It won't affect the poor because they can just use the ones they are dressed in. I fully expect to see a resultant surge in public indecency charges as a result.
  6. Its almost as if "luck" and "being good" are co-dependent
  7. Agree. Now is the perfect time to act. International break with decent candidates available.
  8. Every time someone over the age of 12 posts in this thread a live kitten is forced into a sausage maker.
  9. Time to pull the trigger for me. Not because its necessarily what Tim deserves but with Allardyce and now Rodgers available and Sunderland also in the market there are better, safer options available.
  10. Exactly what has Lallana done this season to justify a call up? Apart from play for Liverpool of course.
  11. Its a ridiculous waste of money to spend billions on something we will never use to make a few hawks feel better. Its a pointless white elephant. We would never respond to a loan nuke from a nut job state or terrorist group by glassing the whole region and if one of the big nuclear nations decide to have a pop we're buggered anyway. Assuming the yanks even let us launch them in the first place.
  12. Dislocated finger. Popped back and now strapped but sore.
  13. There was a great example in the Ireland Romania game that football could learn from: Mic up the referees - the touch judge, TMO and ref had a conflab over a decision. Ref then said what had happened, only gave a penalty, not a card and explain his thinking and his decision. Perfectly handled. It would also knock the swearing on the head overnight with Sky having to bleep or kill the audio feeds to their commentaries.
  14. At this point in my life I am probably ahead of my parents on the income curve and am currently mortgage free. (Although that's about to change) Currently as a comparison no. My dad earns double what I do.
  15. No innocent parties here IMO. I have massive issues with "hackers" "hacktivists" etc etc. Yes the Shkreli bloke is a knob but using twitter outrage as justification to do whatever the hell you like on the internet and then publish highly personal information that would get you a prison sentence where it not for the fact you hide behind a Guy Fawkes mask is equally objectionable. I realise I'm wildly OT here but Annonymous and their ilk really are as bad as those they proclaim to protect/fight for.
  16. In one seasons time when someone good (or Liverpool) come in for him.
  17. thats confused me. Did you apply online? Partly yes. Nope, but I'd happily suck off Mike Ashley and all the minions of Satan if it meant I didn't have to deal with this bullshit.
  18. Who people are married to or who they chose to sleep with has absolutely no bearing on their ability to act as a politician and run the country. Its not in anyone's interest, public or otherwise to judge politicians on their personal lives. UNLESS...... 1) they have campaigned/been elected on the "family values" type ticket and then yes, I would say there is a reason to know or 2) they offer people they are sleeping with cabinet jobs or positions of influence where there is a clear conflict of interest. To simplify...... should Major have offered Currie the job? No. Is the fact they may or may not have had an affair several years ago relevant to Corbyn's appointment of Abbott? Probably not no. It certainly doesn't make his judgement questionable IMO.
  19. Paddy Power were offering enhanced odds of 8/1 on a Blues win. This is basically a licence to print money in a generous misery offset scheme. Lump on chaps. Lump on.
  20. Mrs E's A1 has gone to live with Audi for a few weeks whilst they re-cut the ignition barrel so we're in the middle of courtesy car fun. So far we've had an S3 Cabriolet which was lovely but hugely impractical, we've got the directors A4 Allroad now and its AMAZING.
  21. Word removed mortgage lenders.......... "Yes we can offer you £180,000 based on the info you've provided. Please click here to confirm." **CLICK** "Thanks. Unfortunately we are not able to offer you the amount you've requested - but we can offer you £140,000" PRICKS.
  22. Feel for the kid. He's not only had to adapt to a new country/language/league he's had to do it in the shadow of his brother, playing better football in a better team who has hit the ground running. To write him off now is not only damaging for him its criminally unsupportive. He might still turn out to be shit, but deserves a season to prove himself.
