Don't play FM, don't watch Spanish football so never heard of him. ITSABH applies....if we get him I'll judge his ability/success or failure next season because he'd be a teenager moving to a brand new country. The killer Q will be how big is Barca's buy back clause?
  2. Has it **** The sole criteria for this statement appears to be "have banner insulting opposition players and participated in drunken post match fight"
  3. A cautionary tale amid the Union love in. I had a grievance made against me by a woman who I'd refused sick leave off work for her to have her non-PIP breast implants removed. There was no health concern and no suggestion her implants were a health risk. To cut a long story short there was a significant breach of confidentiality and the ladies health record and the nature of her procedure became public knowledge during the process. I was blamed for this as well as the grievance grew. When HR came in to investigate me they tracked down the source of the breach....... the Union rep - who had put full details of the health concerns into an email and sent it to HR, management, her witnesses and colleages etc. The moral of this story - Unions are great as long as your rep isn't a total tosser.

Imagine a massive secondary school playground.....now remove all the teachers and put it on the internet. That's reddit.
  5. That looks like someone has just made it up, though it is The Daily Mail That list only exists in public because some Daily Mail hack is mates with Dr Tom Markham. He may have years of experience in reading about sports finance and a degree from the University of Reading in some bespoke football degree, but one glance at that list makes me think his algorithms are a crock of horse shit. The only accurate thing about that table is that there is a clear dividing line between the "Top 6" and the rest. Good luck breaking that £300m glass ceiling.
  6. The wholly invented term "cis" a) Its totally unnecessary. b ) appears only to be used as a pejorative term of thinly veiled abuse - as if it is a bad thing.
  7. Never dip your pen in the office ink. That way madness lies.
  8. Somewhere in the minileague that is between 9th and 15th. We'll be safe from the drop and if we are at 40pts by April Sherwood would be Manager of the Season for me.
  9. What's wrong with headed goals? It's a repeatable skill. I couldn't give a toss if they come off his arse. It's the "lots" bit I'm interested in. If he scores 15 goals he'll have had a good season.
  10. Sherwood will sort them out. 1st day of training "Bon Jewer mon petite slags"
  11. I've been up since 5am,haven't had a poo in 30 hours and my colon feels like its progressing a bowling ball. Can I go? Nope.
  12. Can I humbly request a filter is placed on the phrase "has he gone yet" to be replaced with the phrase "I'm fundamentally lazy and unable to use Google"
  13. I'm just avoiding POP action. What's wrong with PoP when someone is being a word removed? I'm not allowed to say because that would be commenting on moderation. [/limpid]

  15. In what way is the owner "clueless" and how is he "not willing to make things right" Its lovely to throw around these subjective statements but without actually providing examples or evidence you just sound like a neurotic 12 year old girl. I'd say giving a manager another 4 year contract after 4 decent games was an error. I'd say the same for Hutton as I know read Sherwood wants rid. Id day putting near 40 year olds on 5 year contracts was an error and putting potentially lazy players on sky high long term contracts was also an error. I'd say focussing his attention on our corporate image and doing up the holte pub instead of investing smartly on the pitch was an error. I'd say appointing McLeish was a huge error, if not just from a pr point of view. I'd say appointing a non footballng man to take charge in faulkener was an error and whatever he is doing now is clearly not working as we can't sell. I wonder how news got out that we were in exclusivity around the time season tickets went on sale and I wonder why the club didn't deny it. I wonder how things didn't work out and why we havent heard from the interested party since. I also wonder weather you, like a homosexual teenage boy might be in denial Not all homosexuals are Egyptian. Or able to swim.

I also wonder weather you, like a homosexual teenage boy might be in denial Let put the thinly veiled homophobic jabs to one side for a second and break this down shall we? How do you know Sherwood wants rid of Hutton? Has he told you? The fact he played Hutton last season prior to the I jury crisis appears to contradict that point of view. 4 years for Lambert? I can understand why it happened but more Faulkner's bad than Lerner. 5 year contract for Given? Faulkner. "Potentially lazy players" which ones? And how did Lerner know they were lazy in advance of contract negotiations? Everyone is "potentially" something. That's a very subjective approach to recruitment. The renovation to the Holte Suite is surely a good thing, and in the context of multi million £ transactions buying players achieved for peanuts. A gesture to show he cares about fans. Smart player recruitment is the managers job not Lerner. Blane MON or every subsequent manager for that. McLeish was appointed after the idiot section of our fan base decided McLaren wasn't good enough. I can see the logic in the appointment even if I disagree with it. What constitutes a "footballing man" - Fox pre Arsenal wasn't. Faulkner made the FA board....surely that makes him the perfect footballing man? It's a meaningless phrase thrown about by people who haven't got the first clue about the roles and functions of a CEO of a large company. On the issue of exclusivity you appear to be accusing the idiot in charge or being sufficiently unidiotic to arrange a conspiracy to defraud the fans and then get away with it with no media scrutiny. The club have never commented on any speculation about take over or transfers beyond admitting the club was available for purchase. Attached to this process is a thing called an NDA which is a legal contract preventing parties commenting publically about the business transaction or the process. All very standard and all very boring. Trouble is it allows the tin foil hat wearing conspiracy Berks an excuse to talk bollocks about a plan to sell season tickets.
  17. Sounds promising. Go for the interview. Get the job. Immediately resign regardless of the outcome - and hope the reference they give doesn't shaft you on the way out.

The hardest part about being in my early 30s for me is that I'm now of an age where I am highly undesirable for any professional sports teams to offer me a debut. Never will I play for the Villa, open the batting for England or win the Tour de France. All I have now is darts and crown green bowls. My life is over.

  20. I really liked that. You have to appreciate the effort if nothing else. Anyone can sort a bedsheet daubed in dulux. A 1000 man strong mosaic takes planning and effort. That's proper hatred right there.
  21. Football fans are a funny bunch. In need of constant reassurance and validation. I was sceptical about Sherwood's ability to build a squad and move the team forward but from what I've seen so far I've been impressed. There is still what? 6 weeks of the window left? Let's judge at the end.
  22. You're right....its not kiddy fiddling....never mind about the estimated 4000 workers in Qatar who'll die by 2020 because Sepp took a few backhanders here and there. As long as he's not a nonce well leave the chap alone.
