  1. For me it's Sunderland, Hull and either Palace or The Boggies for the final spot. Cardiff's home form will keep them up. The Boggies, Palace or Hull don't appear to have someone capable of scoring 15 plus goals which is vital if they are to avoid the drop, and regardless of how quickly Sunderland sack Di Canio his successor will have to manage a team of consisting of journeyman and overseas mercenaries.
  2. Although I voted for Lambert, It could be argued that to a certain extent the most influential person at the club last month was Randy Lerner because of the level of investment (or lack of investment some will argue) as it has influenced our transfer activity. We'll finish top half without a doubt but I'm not yet convinced whether we can sneak into the top 8 just yet.
  3. I popped into the ticket office on the night of the Rotherham game to collect those tickets and tried to buy Norwich tickets then but they weren't selling any other tickets to manage the queue. By the time I called in the next day they had sold out. After 3 weeks away in Portugal the plastic had had a right hammering so the credit card wasn't an option!! At least it's on the box so I can watch the game but I am surprised we haven't taken the full allocation given our away following.
  4. I've missed out simply because of economics. I went to 12 away matches last season with my kids and having forked out for 3 season tickets, an overseas family holiday and tickets and travel to Arsenal i had to wait until the end of Aug to buy tickets for this game. By the time I had been paid the tickets had sold out so maybe there are more like me that had to wait until they were paid at the end of the month before purchasing tickets. August is an expensive month for many people so perhas that explains why tickets were initially slow to sell.
  5. Wholehearted player, not the most gifted but he had a fantastic work ethic and attitude. I'm sure he's got the credentials to be a decent coach if he wants to stay in the game.
  6. January is notorious for clubs having to pay well over the odds for players. Lambert has been wise enough to bring in a striker in the mould of Benteke who now has at least the best part of 4 months to adjust to the premier league without the pressure of being the main striker. As much as I'd hate to lose Benteke in January, if someone does offer ridiculous money, and provided we've secured our premier league status then maybe Lambert might sanction a deal. I agree with BOF that he'll be gone before the start of next season so if it suits us to cash in early then so be it.
  7. Good luck Barry, average footballer but undeserving of most of the stick he got on here.
  8. Gutted............................................. It's happened so late in the window
  9. Anyone seen a blinged up Bentley heading north on the M6 today?

    Quiz!

21 and amazed super Kev isn't one of them
  11. He was woeful every time he played. No worse than Bennett for me Far worse in my view and seemingly that of Lambert. Totally agree TrentVilla. Even allowing for a settling in period, he was way out of his depth and never looked capable of improving whereas Bennett is definitely a good footballer who will improve and mature under Lambert.
  12. That's because it's not strictly grass!
  13. Wouldn't be surprised if the partnership was Okore & Clark once Okore has adjusted to the pace of the premier league. Although Clark is capable of dropping clangers he appears to have more pace than Vlaar.
  14. I think another midfielder could be vital, while we have serious competition at centre back, I can't help but think our midfield are going to be burnt out over Christmas, KAE has really stepped up and is like a new signing himself, add in forgotten man Sylla, and I think we just need another player who could maybe do the Delph role just to keep lads fresh. I agree. What we need would be an energetic central midfielder, who's prepared to assume a squad role for the time being. In an ideal world, said player would be able to cover a number of positions. You get where I'm going with this, right? I'm with you, sadly I don't think it'll happen.

    Chelsea

Personally I despise Chelski. No history or heritage, they're like chavvy lottery winners. I have worked around London for the last 25 years and their fans are on a par with the noses for being uneducated when talking football. Last night's result and the post match comments by their arrogant big headed manager have reinforced my opinion.
  16. I heard they've lost around 17 of the last 26 games. Hopefully this form will continue indefinitely.
  17. I'm happy with Herd as a right back option. And as it stands we also still have Alan to call upon if required.........
  18. everyone does it Not with Sylla and Villa as lyrics!
