Mantis
then he should be forced to resign as president for bringing politics into football if its true But Blatter resigning after overseeing mass corruption is a "sad day for football"? I do agree with you about Platini though.
maqroll
What will probably force FIFAs hand on Qatar will be whatever evidence is proven in court and how that evidence violates international law. The ICC needs to assert itself now and establish oversight and authority over FIFA, so this insanity never happens again. Sponsors and federations should also bring pressure to bear through threat of boycott.
Oaks
It looks like Jack Warner has decided that if he's going down, he's taking everyone with him.

Nicho
It looks like Jack Warner has decided that if he's going down, he's taking everyone with him. Any bit of media shows him as an egocentric corrupt arsehole. Surely any one who has done "business" with him at FIFA knows he was a snake. There are bigger fish but hopefully he is the key to uncovering a lot of evidence. Hopefully he has something on Greg Dyke the smug clearing in the woods
Czechlad
http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/2015/06/04/fai-fifa-paid-us-to-stop-legal-case-over-thierry-henry-handball-incident/?utm_network=facebook&utm_post=3765088&utm_source=FB%20-%20NBC%20Sports%20Soccer "FAI: FIFA paid us to stop legal case over Thierry Henry handball incident" Wow so Fifa just bought off Ireland even though Ireland were clearly screwed. I don't think Ireland had much ground to complain though. Yes it was the wrong call, but refs make mistakes and unfortunately, Ireland was on the wrong end of one error. maqroll
Strange that the FAI would essentially incriminate itself with that statement... Edited June 4, 2015 by maqroll

The only appropriate compensation would have been Henry's severed hand hanging off the Spire. In lieu of that, 5 million is alright.
