At Hoffenheim he was a deep lying creative forward which he excelled at and it earned him his £40m move to Newcastle, Bruce looked at him, saw he was tall and looked strong, and decided he was a traditional big number 9 to lead the line, and was predictably shit at it. Fair points, though in Bruce's defence - sort of - he didn't actually want him in the first place, did he?
