See Staveley bought Newcastle for no money at all. I could have done that. Same as Hicks and Gillette did with Liverpool, borrow the whole lot.

The PIF with their £400bn needed a woman with no money to be given £30m by local businessmen to be the face of it in order to see it approved... Definitely nothing dodgy at all

She’s got a touch of the Anna Delvey’s about her.

Actually think Newcastle are still in a fair bit of danger.

Injuries to ASM and Trippier and 11 looks mediocre again seeing as Guimaraes isn't trusted to start yet.

Still got aways at Chelsea, Spurs and Man. City and would be surprised if they got anything today so it will come down to their home form mainly.

Made a very good start with the wins v us and Everton but need to keep winning at home. Brighton, Palace and Wolves next three so possible.....

Not sure when they play Everton again but loser of that will probably be fighting relegation right to the end as I still think at some stage Burnley will pull an 8 point out of 4 game run like we did in 19/20 so they'd be in range to catch whoever is 17th at that point.

I think they’ll finish mid table. Looking much better and that’s even before they got Bruno G going.

Not sure they'll get up to 40 points personally.

40-45 points is generally mid table range. We finished mid table last season on 56 points but that was abnormal season.

Did he at least get a yellow?

yes, but for arguing with Bowen who obviously got really pissed off. Incidentally Bowen got a yellow for the same. Odd decision.

One of the positive things about Newcastle upturn in form is that the Bruce boys have shut up that he would have done a better job

Joelinton is becoming a fantastic example of how shit Bruce is. At Hoffenheim he was a deep lying creative forward which he excelled at and it earned him his £40m move to Newcastle, Bruce looked at him, saw he was tall and looked strong, and decided he was a traditional big number 9 to lead the line, and was predictably shit at it.

Now he's being played in a deeper role and surprise, surprise, the £40m player they bought is actually pretty good when you play him in a way that suits him.

Fair points, though in Bruce's defence - sort of - he didn't actually want him in the first place, did he? Not ideal as a manager to be foisted with a club record signing you don't want but the chairman is bizarrely obsessed with.

Tbf Dean Smith did pretty much the same thing with Wesley.

They should be more disliked now for who owns them yet the media are telling us repeatedly how great it all is.

If the media at large had anything about them (including SKY) thy should be reporting objectivity and how bad for football (and society) this all is.
