I think it's funny that Spurs still haven't actually made a bid for him. I wonder if they actually will.

They'll wait till the last minute and lowball. Even if they've sold Bale for 75m, they'll wait till the last minute and lowball.

Yep.

then they'll be too late

Well if I were a Villa player being a Villa fan with it (such as Gabby) I'd find it hard to act as though nothing happened.

He'll have seen it before a few times and know there's a chance he could be 'working with' Benteke for the next year. I can't recall any obvious issues Gabby had with Barry when Barry's move to Liverplop was 'nailed on'.Plus, when I look at Gabby's face, I'm not entirely convinced he'll be aware of the situation.

I don't think so

I was hoping this gif would turn up!

To this day, it is believed Gabby still doesn't know who tapped him on his shoulders. Despite viewing the gif several times.

The last line to the tune of a chant that is quite popular these days

Last minute.. it's the Levy way.

the Levy way, im **** sick of hearing about the Levy way and what a great business man he is as if he is some sort of Yoda of negotiations. He made as many mistakes as Faulkner at the start

He'll turn up today, the players will give him a round of applause for gracing them with his presence, then they'll give him some of the proverbial stick for being Billy big bollocks, Lambert will crack wise and they'll all get on with the rest of their day.

Villa’s £25million-rated wantaway striker, 22, is a Tottenham target after slapping in a transfer request last week. But the Belgian could be sentenced to join a growing group of Villa outcasts — dubbed the BOMB SQUAD. Shay Given, Alan Hutton, Stephen Ireland, Barry Bannan and Darren Bent are among the stars currently out in the cold.

One of the forgotten men said: “We’ve been calling ourselves the Bomb Squad. We’re waiting to see if Christian becomes our newest member.”

Hilarious :crylaugh:

It's the way he looks round completely clueless as to who did it & then AY touches him again a 2nd time on his arse or something & gets him a second time... & he falls for it again

If there I any truth in the Bale bid from Man U I suspect he has largely forgotten about CB fo the moment. Keeping Bale is critical to Spurs ambitions and Levy has made a huge deal about retaining him. Without Bale last season Spurs looked a much poorer side. I recall hearing somewhere that Bale was not keen on gong to Real as he has a young family (?) and is close to his family so was keen to stay in the UK. Now Man U are in the frame.......

As for CB if they lose Bale are Spurs such an attractive club? They will have the money to buy him for sure but is it still the right move for him? Probably not if it ever was.

Funny how the condescending and patronising Spurs fans are now strangely sbsent from this thread.

Bale has apparently signed a commentary contract for next season not sure for who but I read it a few months ago. I think Old Trafford is perfect place for him. the bigger pitch and he will thrive

Yet another opportunity for an ITK to show their face. Come on! Someone must be up a tree somewhere at BMH or stalking `Sid` for an exclusive.

Where is MM when you need him?

Clearly not one of the ITKs can even confirm a player being at BHM today. Jokers the lot of them

if he turns up today, he'll come to train.... if i were PL, i'd have a chat with him, and then i'd have a chat with everyone else, and then get on with training....

i guess that with only half of the squad give or take having met him  before, there'll be plenty of time making introductions!!

if ever there was a day to be a fly on the wall, today is that day!

I love how someone has actually gone to BMH. If he thinks they will be training on the front pitches, he's got another thing coming.

but he still has to go in through the entrance so we'll know if he's there

Well he should be there by now? They start coming out at around 12-1pm

Hopefully everyone at BMH is getting in Benteke's ear & sowing seeds of doubt into his mind about pastures new. Hopefully now he's back in our environment Lambo can put an arm around him & win him over.

This is certainly the way I hope it is going.

and then he will tell them how much more he can earn and they will all understand his reasoning.

And I'd hope that they would respond with "and so could I, if Real Madrid made a bid for me... but that hasn't happened yet either"

Bit weird that we haven't heard anything at all yet. You'd think Sky Sports News would have Pete posted at the entrance like they did this morning for Rooney and Bale.

Guess we aren't worth the effort!

Are there any ITKs on here any more? It feels like a long while since I saw anything from any of them.

Good!

The sooner they forget about us, the better. I'd gotten used to us flying below the radar, it was quite nice.

Leave us alone Mail/Mirror/Sun and the rest of you smelly bunch!

Well if I were a Villa player being a Villa fan with it (such as Gabby) I'd find it hard to act as though nothing happened.

To be honest, as much as Gabby obviously loves the club, I'd imagine if Spurs were offering 20 odd million for him and offering to triple his wages, he'd probably be making the move himself.

Exactly.  If spurs came in for any of our players they would be willing to make the move.

How do you know this exactly?  I'm pretty sure most of our players would stick around at Villa as they seem to  have all bought into what Lambert is trying to do.

It is my opinion, spurs are pushing for a CL, they are a step up from us at present.  Do you really think players do not want to play CL or a team who have a chance of playing in it.  That they would not like a huge pay rise.  How do you know they have all brought into what Lambert is doing?.

Because our players (apart from one) all seem to be renewing their contracts and publicly stating that they like what's happening at Villa.  They obviously have the belief that Villa are on the way back up and I'm pretty sure the majority of them who have been in English football for a while, know very well that Spurs are not a step up from Villa and are just as likely to be hitting the skids in a couple of years' time.

When Newcastle hit fifth last year did you think our players would be all off up there?
