However we will still not be getting him, to me that's preety certain, Lambert wanted him last Summer and we would've got him if it wasn't for Vitesse backing out. He's the replacement that makes the most sense for me, matching the £12m that Swansea have bid would leave us with a tidy profit from Benteke still to bring in some more top talent. There's a few strikers out there who could be seen as replacements and I have 100% faith that Lambert will put everything into getting the best possible. I don't think Helenius was bought as a CB replacement so hopefully we do manage to get a high profile striker in. I'd be okay with Roberto Soldado as well... With Lambert's ability to scout a player that's not on £80k per week and looked just a bit shit at Chelsea, is there ny need to take Demba Ba as part of any deal with Chelsea? Not only would we be helping them out by taking their cast off but, if we wanted a direct striker like that then surely we have DB9.
