AvfcRigo82
5 year plan of what exactly as it has been 7 years of bollox so far! Moving the goal posts 4 years into this plan and then hiring 2 cowboys to start dismantling the whole brick structure and then try and get a good promising builder in and start rebuilding it with straw it was never going to be long before it all started to collapse!! . danceoftheshamen
So what i don't get, or maybe i missed it somewhere? Is just how low has this wage bill got to get before it is deemed low enough for this club to be self sufficient? Is it already there? ..Well apparently not! So what exactly? we are surely one of the top 8 clubs in the country size wise so how come we can't pay any decent wages out & all the smaller clubs than us can?.. Or are the wages really still too high? even after 3 years of cuts?
lexicon
Has the wage bill been mentioned by Lambert or anyone at the club at present? Or is just a fan thing?

pacbuddies
Randy Lerner would make a great tory prime minister. Years and years of austerity and cuts for his subjects whilst he lives the high life.

Randy Lerner must have read the story about the 3 little pigs but got confused. He started with a house made of bricks then knocked it down and built it of wood and now he is knocking it down again to build it of straw. The relegation wolf will come along and huff and puff and blow it down. Edited January 12, 2013 by pacbuddies

Daniel1Avfc
(Roughly Guessing) If villa were to get relegated then promoted again would Randy be at a financial gain or loss? or would he be at a financial loss if he spends 20mil this transfer window and we stayed up? *Bare in mind if we're relegated we'll be rid of the high wagers without relegation clauses in their contracts, that we dont want at the club* Then villa could have a fresh start under a manager who seems to know what his doing. *Bare in mind if we stay up we'd get the TV money thing* and our clubs history wouldn't be **** with because of the owner. Sure there is, we will give them away at the end of their contracts it is the Villa way and all part of Lerner's plans. We only sell the good players. MikeMcKenna Posted January 12, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted January 12, 2013 Has the wage bill been mentioned by Lambert or anyone at the club at present? Or is just a fan thing? Mantis
Pretty sure we would be able to get rid of most of the high earners. Dunne and Warnock's contracts are up and I'm sure clubs would come in for Bent and N'Zogbia.
