Dodgyknees
I tell you what - could this be a good thing? Might have given a kick up the backside to Lerner and Faulkner to start investing again. If being one of the favourites for relegation hasn't given them reason to spend, this certainly won't.

Yeah last 4 weeks there has been something from him. The guy is a cretin and should be hounded out of vp.
Villarocker
It's all gone pear-shaped since Lerner's missus decided to divorce him. She's taking him to the cleaners so he no longer has the money to invest in his plaything - us! I think someone should find the bitch and poker..... AndyBM
its certainly not good when sponsors dont want to renew, i for one was not keen on them, im not the gambling kind anyway, and with this country in a mess, the on;y market thriving is the casinos - close them all! AstonMartin82
Didn't FXPro drop us for Fulham? Fulham FFS! No... FXPro were sponsoring both us and Fulham at one stage... nothing to say that they can't. I have no idea if true or not but I'd imagine that during this economic downtime people are going to casino's less and less and therefore maybe Genting have rethought their advertising strategy... maybe they can't afford us as much as they used to. Everything doesn't necessarily have to be doom and gloom though I know it's hard right now.
AstonMartin82
Also, I see it as a good thing that the deal is expiring and not being renewed. Although I like the occasional flutter and have been a professional poker player in the past I've always thought that having a casino as our main sponsor is really tacky and is the polar opposite of what Randy's philosophy was in the first couple of seasons - ie charity sponsor Acorns. I also hate the fact that you can't get kids shirts with the sponsor on due to advertising laws. Makes the shirt look tacky and small time.

Like it or not it's the sponsor which stands out as the thing which we remember the years by. The Muller years were awesome... I wouldn't be able to tell you what the colour of our socks and shorts were then... or even the design of the shirts. Might look tacky, but it's remembering the moments which are the important things to me.
villa4europe
so the excuse that faulkner has got some great sponsorship deals is starting to look a bit thin again too?
