Hispanic immigrants to the USA are fearful that if they have to go to hospital, they'll end up deported. This situation is going to exacerbate all our political tensions.

"I always knew this was a pandemic, even before it was declared"-Trump

In that case, he should be tarred and feathered in front of the White House and given a dose of the virus himself.

He's such a dumb clearing in the woods.

From 'A Complete List of Trump's Attempts to Play Down Coronavirus' (the whole article is very worth reading):

'President Trump made his first public comments about the coronavirus on Jan. 22, in a television interview from Davos with CNBC’s Joe Kernen. The first American case had been announced the day before, and Kernen asked Trump, “Are there worries about a pandemic at this point?”

The president responded: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.”'

I'd hope that he stays in, that way he can run  the hard left campaign and keep it in media, otherwise Biden will just Clinton him and pivot hard to centre even though he'll say all the right things.

FFS! He’s basically a cross between Kim Jon Un and Jim Jones. What a word removed.

It’s a propaganda war with China. There was a push within China recently to say the virus was released into China by the US, the Americans are responding in a crude way to push the blame back on China.

If it was a the position of the administration rather than a personal thing he probably wouldn't need to scrub out the word himself on the script. Trump is a racist, he does racist things, this is one of them.

It’s not just him doing it. They’ve all been at it recently in his administration, calling it the ‘China virus’ or the ‘Wuhan Virus’.

Agree Trump is a racist though.

I'm kind of with @Straggler. This demonstrates that many people within the administration are using the normal word, that everyone else is using. Obviously yes, Trump is saying something different, and those most interested in toadying to Trump are copying him, but the more professional parts of the government are not.

The picture also gives further validation to the argument that Trump is extremely short-sighted, and that many of his comms disasters may be stemming from his refusal to wear glasses out of vanity.
