They just cannot do it can they... Never have i before seen a team that no matter who they are playing & no matter how strong a position they find themselves in during a match & no matter how little time is left in that match, they will always but always find a way to **** IT UP!

Watching this lot is the most frustrating thing i have ever had the misfortune to do...ffing numpties!

There are other games where these comments may be fair enough, but they are other games.

As regards this game, in its own right, we were a couple of minutes away from winning where only Chelsea have won all season, and ended up succumbing to late goals from one of the most settled teams (with the most partisan crowd) who specialise in late goals.

Be pissed off, hate our position, whatever, but keep some perspective - any team in the country could have conceeded those goals.

It is a good point which might be priceless come May.

Not expecting anything today but you simply have to hold on with a two goal lead.

We are now becoming detached from the pack in front; Newcastle are 6 points away and have strengthened, QPR are keeping clean sheets every week, Reading are winning, Southampton are decent and Wigan have seen it all before.  We have had it.

I've seen enough from the last 3 games to think we can battle to the end. We are shit at the back but we were just playing a very good team that are known to get late goals. They scored 2 against spurs to win the game.

We can some heart from this.

**** this defeatist attitude. I know many of you would call it realism but I am certainly not prepared to throw the towel in.

That was a very good point today. 3-1 up yes but against a team that had lost at home once this season and only three times in total. They were always going to fight to the finish and would have come back against a lot of sides.

Results went OK for us today. Forget Newcastle they were never in the mix anyway. It is 3 from 5 from us QPR, Wigan, Saints and Reading. Wigan and Saints did us a favour by drawing, QPR only got a point at home against Norwich and Reading beat Sunderland at home as you'd arguably expect. We gained a completely unexpected point.

I have seen enough second half against Newcastle and today against Everton to see we have plenty of fight in us and can stay up. We need to stay on the front foot in games as going forward we look very good. We show the same endeavour and attacking intent we have in the last one and half games against  West Ham, QPR, Fulham, Sunderland, Liverpool at home and Reading, Stoke, Norwich and Wigan away I see us getting enough points to stay up.

Fans can play a part to and I really hope we can see a big crowd against West Ham.Its time to all roll our sleeves up and get behind the lads.

Its two points lost which could be priceless in may.The way the team folded in the second half is the reason we conceded those goals.

That was our chance & surprise surprise this lot screwed it up... Yes of course a draw at Everton on the face of it is a decent result but to lose in that manner....Again!... Is pathetic whoever the opposition.  How long has it been since we were 2-0 ahead with 2 minutes to go? Doesn't happen often & doubt it will happen very often in the next 13 games either.... We had to win that to help make up for the losses against Wigan, Newcastle & Southampton.... We need wins not draws & to throw 2 points away like that in our predicament is shameful.

I think with Villa's inability to see a game out we are nailed on certainties to go down.

and i think we are nailed on certainties to lose Benteke in the summer.

Its head shaking time.

PS The club could have picked someone out the crowd to do better than this.....its shocking.

Fans were there against Bradford at home. They let everyone down. The fans won't help this lot. Edited by Daniel

Id like to think that Benteke would give us one year in the championship before jumping ship.

I'm not sure what the point is. It just means more money for Mr Lerner. I sure as hell can't see the fans making much difference!

Edit: I mean, that team just had a Wembley final practically handed to them on a plate. If they can't get motivated for that, what hope is there for avoiding relegation?

I admire the spirt but I'm afraid I've given up on them.

Really Trent. Its not time mate. Aston Villa fans don't just give up. Aston Villa owners definitely, some Aston Villa players and managers almost certainly but not Aston Villa fans. I'm not having that I'm sorry. The club is ingrained far too much in my heart for me to ever consider giving up on it. Whilst there are points to play for I am not for throwing the towel in. The fat lady may well be gargling ready for action but the fat cow ain't signing yet.

Not being disrespectful....but you can make a case like that for every team

4-0 at Southampton, when they had only just come up.?

don't think Chelsea have being doing very well at home, but they managed 8 against us.

Its indemnic and @ 1-3 with half an hour to go....Its do able.

we are just incapable of winning right now against any team in the division.

I would too goota say it's highly unlikely though.. every man & his dog will be after him i should think... His Agent will no doubt pressure him & then of course we have Randy "Flog em quick" Lerner to contend with.
