Rubbish again really but plenty of effort. It could have been a lot worse as they missed two sitters and had that goal rules out. Whether it was off or on is irrelevant, we were still lucky.

Weimann was good. We defended set-pieces much better but we we terrible in the final third.

I think that point has made us safe.

As for the game: mediocre performance saved by some shit finishing and shit luck for Sunderland. 2 whiffed sitters and a 50/50 offside call going our way make McLeish's 0-0 win look like tactical genius.

Ireland MotM for battling all over the pitch, saving a goal and making some sweet passes. Thing is, when he's coming deep to get the ball and working with Albrighton, Heskey and Bannan, obviously we won't see any fruits of his labour.

01 Given - 6, Didn't have much to do

06 Collins - 6, Alright until he was injured

24 Cuellar - 5, Couple of mistakes

30 Lichaj - 6, Tried hard but had little support

32 Baker - 6, Again, tried hard

07 Ireland - 5, few stupid decisions and never that creative

10 N'Zogbia - 5, Started off ok but always keeps the ball for too long and created nothing

12 Albrighton - 2, Truly woeful. Don't rate him at all and really needs to be replaced

31 Herd - 6, Didn't really notice him that much

11 Agbonlahor - 6, did well, disappeared from the game and then got injured

26 Weimann - 7, worked his socks off but had no support

Hutton - 6, Did fine

Heskey - 6, Had a bit of an impact

Bannan - 4, Ruined our best chance, offered nothing, don't rate him at all

All in all, even when we move the ball forward we have absolutely no creativity and we never actually look like scoring. Our midfield in particular was shocking. I know everyone loves to rave about our youngsters, but Albrighton and Bannan just have to go. They are useless and have been for a while

Pure gash - again. Sunderland made the more positive substitutions towards the end. Looks like we were happy for a point, perhaps ?

**** off McLunge.

Well, our subs were largely forced through injury. I don't recall Campbell doing a great deal.

Where are the goals gonna come from? We could have played all night without scoring. Bolton on Tuesday has got to be our biggest game of the season, but I just don't see where a win is gonna come from. Very worried.

A predicatble, if somewhat lucky, 0-0 and an attacking opportunity missed by not using Carruthers. On what basis is Albrighton being picked, and staying on the pitch?

Players once again lacking confidence, vision and any sense of cohesive play. They look a lot worse than they are and a good deal of this must come from the systems they play and the lack of confidence they are suffering.

One question though, where was the venom to McLeish from the crowd? They just seemed numb once more.
