Good thing for them that Boehly has Saudi backing and they have a easy way to generate funds through the Saudi league transfers.

The combined fee thet received from Saudi clubs for Koulibaly, Mendy and Kante is £36m, which might be more than they were 'worth' but an average of £12m each is not exactly a king's ransom, and those were all Muslim players as well. Are Saudi clubs going to bail them out with a £40m bid for Cucurella, and is he going to want to go there? Not sure Saudi clubs are gonna be able to solve all their problems.

Remember when Lukaku slimmed down at Inter and looked incredible...then went back to the mess he looked at United at Chelsea again ..

100%
He was about 3 stone lighter and in amazing form. Then at United he was covered in sweat from the warm up.

Exactly, the players have to agree to go which is not a simple task.

Plus Lukaku, Azpilicueta, Kepa, Kovacic, Mount, Loftus Cheek, Aubameyang, Pulisic and Ziyech off the books. Few more as well

Lukaku yeah true he was on silly wages.  But of all these players the ones out on loan do we know if the ithee club is covering 100% of the wages?

Wouldnt suprise me if chelsea are covering some of those wages

They're got a dozen garbage footballers on 100k a week for the next 5 - 7 years and no movability in the FFP market and dwindling attraction and prestige. They're as clueless off the pitch as Birmingham City for the past 10 years.

They're as lost as you could possibly be.

Yeah...they're absolutely fine.

As last Man United generate a huge amount of cash. They're getting away with it.

Chelsea are completely ****.

Oil tanker comes to mind.

for 21/22 chelsea generated circa £500m

take off £100m for the CL

same as utd and arsenal, their decline off the pitch is grossly exaggerated, they're still double ours / newcastles / brightons and be back one day

Imagine a lot of that comes from sponsorship money that companies are paying because they are/were in the champions league no?

James should just retire. Your lucky if you get 10 games out of him

Why would he do that, he's got another £70m due in wages if he does nothing but sit in the physio's room for the next 5 years :D

Extremely dodgy though as the companies' turnover is only $15m a year.

Yeah but it all adds up though

Their Nike deal is circa 6x our deal

Their shirt sponsor is circa 4x our deal

Their sleeve sponsor is circa 6x our deal

We don't even have a training gear sponsor

Then chuck in all the partnerships

Then they'll have a higher match day revenue than us

It's 1 to 3 years of decline and they will drop off stuff, it's 10+ years

I dont think people realise or appreciate just how big the gap is, Chelsea are **** way out in front of us in terms of revenue

To me this feels like when wolves point the finger at us and say FFP will catch up with us and the bubble will burst and villa must be doing something dodgy etc etc it's all wishful thinking

The only thing we can hope for is that villa continue to spend less better - or more that Chelsea continue to spend absurd amounts of money badly, same as utd, both of them should be able to have an arsenal style turn around at any point, they're not going away
