Whats the longest an established PL CL sky 6 team have spent out of the CL? Arsenal with about 5 or 6 years?

Chelsea will be back just like arsenal and utd, they have too much money not to be

The problem is the other clubs have money now too so its not that simple for them

These days it seems smart with £100 million is better than dumb with £300 mil. Ordinarily these shuffling corpses of clubs like Man U and Chelsea would slip back to mid table as their cycle has ended but artificial dodgy money in Chelsea's case and and official ride on mower blade sharpening stone partners in Man U's case, along with dodgy officials are doing everything to keep them them up the top, especially in Man U's case

Yep, it's easy to say Chelsea will drop off without the £80-100m CL money every season but the reality is their annual turnover is still 3x ours and Brightons

It'll be close and depend what the official numbers are rather than just what Google says but I think their 2022 revenue was more than us, Brighton and Newcastle combined

That's the head start they've got

And utd are another £100m odd ahead of Chelsea

Just seen the highlights and to be fair their keeper made some good saves, especially the one from JJ near the end, wonderful shot, and a good save.....a good "football" moment.......would have been even better if it had gone in !

Yeah Sanchez probably had his best game ever, it’s crazy he is their number 1 keeper, he has a lot of clangers in him, he is probably at the level of Kiraly in terms of top level keeper ability.

Yep, aren't Chelsea the 8th highest revenue club in the world?

I am actually loving what is happening to them at the minute and long may it continue.

I hope they stick with Poch until February before sacking him - whilst also being in a league position that no-one in their right mind would go near.

Am I being too ambitious in hoping for relegation for them too?

Deloitte has them as 8th with €583m in their money league

Us and Brighton aren't in the top 20 (but Leicester, Leeds, West ham, Newcastle and Everton are)

20th is Newcastle at €212m so you'd have to assume from that we're circa €380-400m off Chelsea

So they can spend at least £300m PER SEASON more than us on transfers and wages and still break-even!

It looks like their £40m a season shirt idea with Infinite Athlete is going through.

That's a lot of money for a company that doesn't seem to have a huge turnover. I did wonder where the money was coming from, but it looks like they're supported by a number of funds and capital management groups, including Silverlake, who own 18% of Manchester City..

In fact, here's an interesting article on why it's so strange that a company that turns over £12m a year might suddenly decide to invest £40m a year in sponsorship of a football team.

https://www.thesponsor.com/why-chelseas-new-sponsorship-deal-raises-fair-market-value-concerns-for-the-premier-league/#:~:text=Infinite Athlete has an estimated, sponsorship they have reportedly offered.

Quote

The timing and particulars of this sponsorship agreement warrant meticulous scrutiny. Chelsea's pursuit of a new front-of-shirt sponsor hit an impasse until the emergence of Infinite Athlete – a company closely aligned with the club's ownership – offering a deal that nearly doubles the £25m valuation set by Chelsea for this season's shirt sponsorship. Such a substantial leap naturally invites scrutiny, particularly concerning the FMV guidelines in place.

How’s he managed that when he wasn’t even playing?! It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s a bit of a petulant/nasty piece of work as that’s the second example in his career of getting a red card for effectively an off field incident
